Do you think the cot has hurt nascar?

That's an understatement if I've ever heard one. The thing that gets me is the fact that the old cars were very safe with all the new technology that was implemented (soft walls, HANS devices, etc.). The drivers say driving this car is like driving a school bus around. It has put Goodyear in a no-win situation with the tires. They can either make a tire that wears, which will produce good racing but also cause tire controversies, or tires that don't wear and watch a parade all day. NASCAR beat it into our heads that this car would eliminate the aero-dependency of the cars and that has not happened at all. These cars are just as, if not more, aero-dependent as the older cars and the racing has just worsened. The cars no longer look good on the track, the racing is boring.... it's really ruined the sport.

The racing has gone down hill overall. The restrictor plate races are better. (I was at Talladega and that was one of the best races I've seen in a while.) The safety is much improved but I pay to see good racing and I don't want to see racing like we see in Atlanta and the other 1.5 mile tracks. These drivers are making millions upon millions. They make more money in a week than most of us make in a year so if being a little unsafer puts on a better show for our money than so be it!:snoring::whistling::)
