Do you think

That maybe Heupel pulled Joe aside and asked him if he remembers last year? What they did to your good friend? and then ask...Do you want to make all that right today? I expect to see some fire in Joe. It's personal.
It was a non contact injury. The sensationalism on here is too much sometimes. They didn’t do anything to Hooker.

I actually think he plays kind of timid. Think about Rattler all last year. The story was they kept after him to just turn it loose. He did against us. I think Joe just needs to play the way he's capable of. Look, I'm one one that thinks that our big problems don't involve Joe. He makes the right reads and has had to many drops. Our OL gets Mays back. That should do wonders to settle the OL. The defense needs to stop making bone head mistakes. I see this game as the one where everything comes together. If the back end can toughen up, our defense can be one of the best in the league. Joe needs to lead. To do that he needs some fire.

A lot of our players seem somewhat less than aggressive. We just aren't a tough, physical bunch. Won't say soft. Instead I think we are a "finesse" team. I also don't think we have a tough mental makeup either. We're good from the front. We got behind vs UF and we seemed to wilt a bit.

If you want revenge for Hooker then go to that piece of silty crap that they call a field and dig it up. I would hope they just showed the team last years game. That should’ve been enough to piss them off and if it doesn’t I don’t know what will.

Uhhh, that's what the SEC administration is for. They need to get SCe to replace that field. Either that or they play all road games until they do. I've been calling for this for a year now.

Never been a believer in all that stuff. You show up to play or you don’t. If you gotta make up narratives to pump up a player for a game, he ain’t it. Also, there is a name for a coach feels the need to motivate guys like that. That name is Butch Jones .

Word. Our defense did much more to Hooker than their defense did. Those guys should be pissed for this game but I bet we’ll see the same pathetic effort out of the usual suspects in the secondary.

I would like to think Heupel sat the whole defense down and said do you remember how this mediocre team made you look like fools last year?

No, Heupel preaches next play mentality & also last season does not dictate this season. This is simply this weeks game.

Im just hoping Milton can remember the playbook well enough and now that he doesnt have an adverse stadium he doesnt have to rely on audibles so much. Perhaps he will be able to react quickly enough for us to play.

Meanwhile, gotta hope Mays is in sufficient form to actually give Milton a few seconds instead of the gaping wound that center has been so far. If Mays closes the front, then Joe should get settled and start playing like the champ he could be when he isnt rattled.

I mean if you want to completely misquote and misrepresent him sure that’s what he said.

Joe does plenty to be critical of without inventing issues. Apologies if you didn’t know the media completely misrepresented that quote from him.
