Offensive or defensive minded coach as the next HC? Personally, I want a defensive guy. With the talent we have on defense returning (Best LB in the SEC imho, AJ Johnson) a solid D line, and high rated DBs, I think we could have a tough defense with the right guy.

Defensive guy and that's why I want Patterson. Damn good defensive coach that gets the most out of his players.

Defensive all the way. We have the players and rep as WR U to carry the offense with a good OC, but Dooley swung and missed on a lot of Defensive players so we need a coach that not only knows how to run a defense based off the talent he has but can also get the most out of his players.
Granted hiring a good DC would help but after seeing how sunseri turned out I'd much prefer to have a HC that can step in and take control of the D if things start going the way they did this past season.

Anyone that doesn't say defense has missed the SEC for the last 10 years....don't say Florida with Tebow, while yes they had a good offense that defense was in the Top 20 every year.
