the longest run (33 yards) by a QB since Tee Martin all the way bad in 1999. Not too dang shabby.

He was 26-42 for 240 yards

His 42 attempts was the most ever by a UT Freshmen.

Guys I think we just might have the Real Deal here. This Kid will only get better and he is perfect for Butch's system. I am offically on the Dobbs Bandwagon now

And lets not forget Dobbs had 2 almost TD passes. One dropped by Smith and the other was missed by North.

Dobbs announced his arrival tonight.

How people can say they would rather have Worley is beyond me. Dobbs has a quicker release and can run the read option much more effectively. Accounting for virtually all of the offense's yardage isn't too shabby either.

Yep count me in as well. I can't wait to see him play these next three games. To be honest he really played better than I expected. I'm really glad we have him and Riley going forward. Check QB, running back, WR and one corner off the list for next year. Everything else HAS to upgrade.

The best of Dobbs is yet to come. I was impressed with some of the things he did tonight. I look for a better performance at home. That is if he gets more help from his receiver's. The dropped passes are killing us...

We are few and far between.

I can understand why some people are frustrated. We haven't really been a contender since 2007, but those same people can't see the forest for the trees.

We are ACTUALLY on the verge of greatness this time. Look at Dobbs, North, and Sutton and their Freshmen. Then look at this class coming in. Hurd, Bates, Kelly, etc etc etc.

This isn't Sunshine Pumping. This is knowing when your seeing Greatness in the making.

Dobbs was less than impressive tonight. I've said it a few times lately, but a healthy Worley is our best option.

Dobbs did some good things, but he cost us a lot of momentum swings due to some terrible decision making. The only impressive thing he did was run, and one of those runs turned into yet another Dobbs turnover (fumble).

Sorry Dobbs needs to prove a lot more than "set the record of pass attempts since Tee Martin" or we need Worley back ASAP.

I liked what I seen from him tonight. Did he make some mistakes? Sure. But he also did some positive things. I think he only grows and gets better from here. Oh well, let's get ready for Auburn.

Worley is done at UT. Dobbs is the future. Get used to it.

Oh I can definitely understand it too, but like you I see better times on the horizon. What makes it even better is the 15 class could end up ranked higher than 14 when that time rolls around.

Correct me if I am wrong...Wasn't that the 1st start for true freshmen Dobbs?...and was that game on the road against the #9 team?

Barring injury, I think Dobbs will be the starting QB for UT until he leaves for the draft.

So your logic is basically he played in a game vs a great team on the road as a freshman so he's legit?

He had 3 turnovers and we scored 3 points on a 51 yard field goal...

Are you guys series? Dobbs 285 of UTs 334 total yards tonight. North missed a easy TD catch and Smith dropped another TD catch and both where put on the money.

Dobbs a True Freshman was the only bright spot in tonights game.

He accounted for about 250 yards by himself. I'm sorry, but he did enough to keep up in this game. Stupid penalties, dropped passed and a defense Sunseri would have put on the field are not his fault.

How many times has Worley accounted for 250 yards? Just curious.

Edit: he accounted for almost 300 yards.

Yes the only thing Dobbs did was make 3 turn overs...He did nothing else.

Without a doubt. Barring injury this will be his team until he enters the Draft. I have been a Vol now for 22 years. I have seen a few QBs come and go in that time and I'm telling you guys Dobbs just might end up being our next Great
