Dobbs had

He accounted for about 250 yards by himself. I'm sorry, but he did enough to keep up in this game. Stupid penalties, dropped passed and a defense Sunseri would have put on the field are not his fault.

How many times has Worley accounted for 250 yards? Just curious.

Edit: he accounted for almost 300 yards.

300 yards and 3 whole points. How many times this year has Worley accounted for zero touchdowns?

Yes the only thing Dobbs did was make 3 turn overs...He did nothing else.

Look we scored 3 total points and he have the ball away 3 times. Not say that's all that happened but those two things matter more than people on here seem to suggest.

I think he will get better but tonight overall he played poorly.

So your logic is basically he played in a game vs a great team on the road as a freshman so he's legit?

He had 3 turnovers and we scored 3 points on a 51 yard field goal...

I hate to tell u but if Worley was in there we wouldn't even had 3 points Dobbs can sling it no doubt dont forget the dropped touchdown by josh smith and the ball north lost in the air for a td

Dobbs was terrible. You guys are a joke.

He made far too many mistakes. I expect him to get better but he was bad this evening

Finally, someone who "gets it". Dobbs was bad. He's no more accurate than Worley. It doesn't make any difference anyway when the defense can't stop anyone.

Ball for north was overthrown. Dropped passes happen. Especially when you rely on guys like an 18 year old josh smith to make plays. We won't know what happens with Worley at the helm. He may not have done better. But josh didn't play well.

North quit running cause he lost it then he finally seen it and tried to get to it and then he just threw his hands up to try to get to it

Maybe. That's never happened to anyone else though. Right?

That's your opinion. Ball looked overthrown to me.

Regardless banking an argument on dropped passes and misreads isn't too convincing from where I'm at.

North half assed the route. QB's throw it to a spot; the receiver has to get there.

I don't get the Dobbs bashing. It is true he didn't play his best tonight, but he showed some of the ability he has and he will only get better. We make a couple of those receptions for TD's and who knows what could have happened. Yes dropped passes do happen, but we are having way too many of them. The O-line needs to start playing up to their potential and cut down on penalties and running backs (Neal) needs to step it up. Take some of the pressure off our QB and see how much a difference it makes.

North absolutely quit, it was strange because normally North catches that ball for a TD. People need to go back and look at the exact spot the ball dropped at, it would have hit North right in the numbers. That was a great pass by Dobbs.

I think some ppl will find a reason to be negative about anything. We could be undefeated, blowing teams out left and right and some negavols would find a reason to *****. Its sad.

Exactly man it's sad it really is better days ahead been a painful few years

"Dobbs stalled a drive with a turnover"

Guys, the only reason we had a drive to stall in the first place was because of Dobbs.

Jesus.

We really are the legion of the miserable.

The people on here that think Dobbs has a lock on the starting job are who crack me up...seriously? 3 weeks ago Dobbs was our NUMBER 3. Quarterback. My money is still on Ferguson starting game 1 next year. Dobbs keeps playing like he did tonight we may see Ferguson this season. I'd like to see Dobbs and Ferguson in a foot race. Anybody know their most recent 40 times? Ferguson is just as mobile as Dobbs, and throws a better ball. We will see.

what i don't get about some people here on vol nation is the rational of the argument about Josh Dobbs. If u say he had a bad game i will go with that. 3 turnovers are unexceptible. tired of losing, because we are Tennesse. I get it. but look at the attempts which r high if u are a Jr/Sr qb let alone a true freshmon, the yards he accounted for, and for the most part he looked poised doing it. Dobbs is probably best guy on team outside of pig right now and i doubt worley would have done any better. jmo

i thought dobbs showed flashes of what the future could be. as far as the worley/dobbs debate right now, it is hard to say. dobbs made a couple "freshman" mistakes, but he also put us in positions and/or made plays worley simply can't make. have to take the good with the bad. i think dobbs will come out next week better and ready to tear up the auburn D at home. i know everyone wants to defend worley, but he just isnt physically as gifted as dobbs and i am really not convinced our team is better with worley at the helm. a couple of passes get caught and our D doesn't have a couple mental lapses and everyone is singing a different tune about dobbs.
