Dobbs had

I have seen both throw...Dobbs in this game and Ferguson on the Elite 11...Ferguson def throws a better ball...he was above Dobbs all season for a reason and after the poor performance with the turnovers and bad throws tonight, I can see why...also see why they are wanting to redshirt Ferguson and have him for 3-4 years...Dobby didn't impress me at all tonight...

Proof right there. Fergy fans will now nitpick every Dobbs movement until one transfers. Mark it down.

I thought he played a good game...not great, but good. He did make a few mistakes, but what do you expect from a guy that's been on campus for only a short time.

Plus he's a very smart guy...he's definitely going to learn from his mistakes and fix them.

Because I guess I have nothing better to do, I am making a list of the Dobb haters on here. It tells me a couple of things about all of you. Either A, you guys know absolutely squat about football or B, you just can't stand to see the "black" guy in at QB. Given my short time and experience reading dumb posts here on volnation, I believe this is mostly due to A. Our offensive line played horrible tonight because Mizzu has so much speed on the DL. It was a horrible match up for us in that respect. Dobbs, had to get rid of passes quick all night. Our WR's dropped passes all night. As a true freshman, are you kidding me??? He runs the read option incredibly well. He is our future guys barring no major injuries. Get used to it. Believe me, coaches were very disappointed with our team effort last night, but I can assure you, they are excited about our young QB, who by the way, was recruited by Jones,,, Ferguson was not.

So if I don't blindly support Dobbs, even when he sucked ass, I'm either:

A: Don't know about football

Or

B: a racist

You really are a DUMB M'F and a Racist...you are only for Dobbs bc he is black...see I can be a jackass too...

I'm all for Dobbs if he can play and produce...I'm not just gonna blindly jump on his BANDWAGON, that is for you Volley Girl, when his performance was bad...

Also, M'F Jones, why is it if we disagree with you and your opinion on Dobbs, we don't know or never played football? Maybe, we have played and coached and really see how he couldn't hit a receiver screen bc he threw the ball 2 yards too wide or he should have had 5 interceptions instead of two...he may turn it around and produce and I truly hope he does...but, as of last nights game, he instills no confidence that he will...

Not on his bandwagon, but don't bash him at every opportunity in the current circumstances.

He's what we have right now. Worley's out the rest of the regular season. He was in a tough situation last night. He did some things very well and is obviously a big time talent.

He also threw 3 very bad interceptions, could have been 5 if the Mizzou DBs could catch, and a fumble...

I'm not gonna just blindly ignore his bad mistakes bc he can run or is smart and Worley is out...

A) Take that infantile attempt to silence people who disagree with you by race-baiting to a small-minded place that caters to it.
B) You're in the dumb post category.
C) Dobbs has potential, had flashes, but you listed none of his mistakes. Check your own bias.

3 Ints? You're exaggerating... And obviously you aren't objective in this.

It is plain to see that this Dobbs thing is going to be just like Obama. With a certain segment of the population, no matter how bad he stinks it up, it will be somebody else at fault and if anyone steps up to call him out on poor play the race card will immediately be used in his defense. Welcome to America.

Good post.

good lord I hate coming to this site after a loss with a FR QB... someof the drivel being spewed is stupid, petty,,and pathetic... Dobbs made mistakes, hello,he's a freshman... but he got absolutely ZERO help from anyone... the DL made him hurry a few times early that got him out of his rhythm, the WR's were horrible, the OL was worse, constantly putting the offense in bad down and distance situations... and some of you people expect a freshman QB making his 1st start to work miracles? GTFO with that sh*t... Worley would've been killed last night with that pass rush...Dobbs did as well as he could with limited experience,on the road, against a good team, with a team constantly putting him bad situations...

He is the real deal because he broke a record for passing attempts in a game as a freshman. That is something Peyton Manning never did. McCarron, Murray, Shaw, Boyd, Winston, Manziel, and so many other QB's that everyone thinks of as "great" never set a record like Dobbs has. Dobbs = Real Deal.

A record for passing "attempts" is not really an impressive feat.

He's a freshman starting his first SEC game against serious competition and playing on a depleted team.
And for the record, he doesn't have a Harry Potter wand either. Neither do you or anybody else for that matter.

Speak for yourself. I sooo have a Harry Potter wand. Unfortunately, I've only learned how to perform Impedimenta and my skills are spotty and inconsistent (hey, I'm a beginner). I did, however, manage to get "Impedimenta" to work a few times against both UGA and SC. :)

No. He had 2 Ints and a fumble. The first pick his arm was knocked while he was throwing. The second one was his fault.

Ok, I lost count...I mistook 3 turnovers and thought the announcer said 3 Ints...my fault...so he could've had 4 instead of 5 if Mizzou DBs could catch...I amended my previous statement...

Auburn is going to destroy us. We need to start cheating to turn this program around. I suggest hiring Pete Carroll as an outside consultant to teach our staff how to properly pay players. With our lack of in-state talent combined with the most competitive recruiting era yet, Tennessee will have to cheat to get back to prominence. This isn't the 90s. Players go to the school that offers them the most bling and cash. As long as we keep playing by the rules you can expect to keep getting beat by the Missouris and Vandys of the league. Let's get with the program. Tired of the excuses: "Dobbs showed promise," "Hurd and Bates will right the ship," , "Butch gets it," etc. If you look at the way this team performs on the field, they are no different from last year, or the year before, or the year before that. There is only way out of this labrynth of losing: cheat!

Ferguson is redshirting barring an injury and Dobbs is our starter: Deal With It.
