I thought he looked much better than that???

This changes my opinion a bit....but whoever starts the next game, I trust Butch to make the right choice.

Drops were the reason. Only a few of his passes were thrown away or off target. He'd be 8/12 if not for drops.

The recovers are not used to a accurate and hard thrown ball?

Not to mention he is a freshman. Pretty good stats IMO.

For Gods sake he could've stuck it in J. Smiths facemask and it probably would've knocked his helmet off and still been incomplete. That kid has a bad case of the drops.

I was impressed myself . Dobbs went into a very hostile environment and played very well I thought . Didn't seem to be intimidated at all

It will take awhile for our receivers to adjust...they aren't used to balls hitting them with actual velocity! :D

I believe Josh Smith had two he could've caught, and then Johnathan Johnson had a drop. (Out of Dobbs throws). This team has killed drive after drive this season with drops.

Not only were there at least two drops that were right on target, he also had a couple of good runs. I think his ability to run also opened up some running lanes for our running backs as well.

What I can't believe?

So far in this season, save the last month, the fan base has called for

"Worley needs to be benched! Burn the redshirt! Get us Dobbs/Ferguson! Blah! Blah! Blah!"

We get what has been asked for. Now all the sudden his stats just aren't that impressive? True freshman kid takes his first snaps in an away game against the #1 team in the nation, tosses for 75 yards against a top notch defense and runs for another 20.

And "wow, his numbers are not that impressive!"

Are you kidding me? Kid looked good out there, players were supportive after the game, had some passes that were dropped and wasn't afraid to take off down the field with the ball.

I swear some of you are not happy unless we are losing and have something to complain about.

Kid is the real deal. Butch showed just enough for Mizzou's defense to have to respect his running ability. He has the arm and touch to make all the throws. Maybe our offense will be more potent finally with a mobile QB to make this offense legit.

Since there is no Dislike button, please rate this thread as Terrible.

The thread isn't terrible the op was simply saying Dobbs' stats didn't match what he saw on the field and if you had any reading comprehension you could have figured it out on your own.

I never said bench Worley to begin with. The point of my post is that he LOOKED BETTER than his stats.

Get it?

But let me say this...his numbers hopefully will improve. 5 of 12 does suck.

Why? He had multiple drops, thank you Jonathon Johnson and Josh Smith. Thinking he should've been 8 of 12. Does that help?

He should be the starter for the rest of the season IMO. Hell, get Riley ready to back him up. Screw a damn redshirt.

Perhaps a different titled thread would have been in order.

Only 5 off 12 implies "he sucks." Which was confirmed by your comments you just added.

Get it?
