Dobbs will start. Ferguson #2 vs Missouri

But how can RF be number 2 ? He is in a full body cast. We all know he has Peyton Manning 's arm and scrambles like Johnny Football. If he was healthy he would start not be number two. Duh.

That's funny, bc that's all we've heard about Dobbs...he is the next Tee Martin or Tony Robinson...we will c Sat I guess...sucks for Ferguson that he picked up the injury last week...I mean Butch knew this was gonna happen so that's why Dobbs didn't even make the trip to Fla...needed the rest for the Mizzou game

Don't really see the benefit of releasing this now. Why not let Mizzou watch film on Worley and game plan for all eventualities?

How long before people bash Dobbs? Say he's overrated, RF should be in etc??? The patience level for many on here is very low...one incomplete pass and were screwed for the next 3 years...

I have family members and co-workers saying it already. Lets see what he has before we judge, wait that isn't the way Tennessee Fans do it. They want it now.

Man, I still remember Clausen's helmet getting ripped off in that game...and him continuing through the play.

Dude might've run like Steven Seagal, but he was tough as nails & severely underrated, IMO.

He played and act tough like he was Steven Seagal too. I loved the Iceman!

Get well soon Justin. You can play in the bowl game hopefully since you have contributed a great deal to get us there, if we get there. I'm positive we will make it. :eek:k:

This reminds me a lot of the year that Brandon Stewart and Todd Helton were both injured and we ended up starting a true freshman QB (I think it was 94?)

Anyway, here's to hoping that Dobbs ends up being as special as that other true freshman. :lolabove:

Edit: I looked it up to remind me...It was Jerry Colquitt and Todd Helton that were injured. Peyton just came in and beat out Stewart.

With Dobbs now the starter, Ferguson the backup (in boot), Peterman still rehabbing, and Worley out 4 weeks, this now really shakes up the QB situation if Dobbs does well. Would Peterman leave? Would Worley leave? What would Ferguson do? There's a possibility that we go from a stocked stable of QBs to a depth issue. I don't think we have a commitment from a QB for 2014. This could lead to some interesting situations as we progress through this season and into next season. These kids are all competitors and want to play. Interesting!!!

Jake said they were ready 2 weeks ago.
I'll accept, freshmen might not be better at this stage.
Certainly won't be worse though.

would you like to re-think your remark?

3 turnovers in 3 quarters??? yeah, that's not good. too young, too soon.

He'll be fine. There was a lot of good stuff and a good bit of out of sync as well. 5 or 6 bad throws/ bad decisions out of 42 passes. I'll stand by my statement earlier in this thread: we were going to lose this game with Worley, so I'll take a learning experience for Dobbs, with a better chance to win the Auburn game as a consequence.
