Dobyns-Bennett's conference?

when i played there untill 2004 we where in the big east....what the hell is going on they dont play any of the same people and im confused...whats the deal?

Hey, I go to Daniel Boone... this year in football they switched conferences, i think its called the Big 8. Its Dobyns-Bennett, Tenn High, Science Hill, Boone, Crockett, S South, S Central, and Volunteer i think.

When I was at Elizabethton in the 60's (class of '66) we played in the Big 7-Science Hill, Bristol, Greeneville, Morristowen, Erwin, D-B and Elizabethton. We played 4 games outside the conference in football. Ocassionally it would be a town near Chattanooga or near Knoxville, but no teams from VA or NC.

I believe that Science Hill, D-B , Greeneville and Bristol still play Elizabethton most every year in football. At least I know Science Hill is the biggest rivalry.

When the price of gas went through the rough TSSAA decided to make a change. They wanted to keep schools travel expenses down, so thats why it has changed.
