Dodgertown - Vero Beach

I'm at Dodgertown this weekend watching my older son play. It's pretty cool driving down Sandy Koufax Lane or Jackie Robinson Avenue. Even better is playing in the same stadium that those two and many other Dodger legends played on.

Also, there is a group of umpires here being evaluated for minor league gigs that are calling the games. Those guys are brutal in their evaluations of each other.

A lot of history there.

I have an old teammate who is still bouncing around the Minors as an Umpire. It's much harder to get to the Big Leagues as a player than as an Ump. It's no joke how they grade those guys.
