Dodson will not play for UK next season....

Though we talked about the speculation in other threads earlier in the year, it was confirmed yesterday by Calipari that Dodson will not play for UK next year. As I said, this has been expected and rumored for awhile now. The only thing of significance is that two weeks ago asst coach Robic announced at a speaking event that Dodson would play.

Another interesting quote:

Calipari says Dodson could return to the team "if he meets our standards."

If I had to lay my money down, Dodson will never suit up in a UK uni again. It will not hinder us too much as he is basically immobile in the DDM, but his shooting (although streaky) would have helped in certain situations.

He's long and can shoot a little, but he's basically cannon fodder--a warm body to put out there to fill a spot that you hope won't hurt you, and if he contributes, all the better.

With Liggins and Miller, I don't think you are going to notice he is gone.

FYI, according to the frosted flake hair dresser who runs his own blog (though I won't mention names) Dodson is officially no longer a CAT. So with that news, expect Dodson to be in the starting line-up this season.

FYI, Calipari announced yesterday for the 24th but final time that Dodson will not be on the team next season and has already moved out. KSR just tweeted that Dodson was arrested last night in lexington for disorderly conduct. Sad.

Little fyi. Dodson was dismissed from usm for theft at a frat house. However, i believe the charges were dropped and eustachy plans on reinstating him after this semester. He could play early as saturday vs ole piss.

Darnell dodsen is a man!!!! First game in a year and half and he balled. Hit a 3 at the buzzer to lead southern over Arizona state 64-61

17 points(only played second half) 2 blocks, 1 steal. Just a little pumped. Southern shoulda beat ASU alot worse though.

Thought he done an excellent job and glad he is back on the right path. (wont hold my breath)
