So far, in every game of the Heupel era at Tennessee, the first team to score 30 points has won every single game.

Does this hold up for Bama? Will either team get to 30?

I think it holds for this game too. We get to 30 first we are scoring early and often. We lose games in two ways….a defense that is good enough to hold us under 30, or a shootout with a team with at least as high powered an offense as we have.

We'll need 38+. 38 means we probably stopped 1-2 of their drives and they'll have a real hard time matching that score.

No. We need 40 lol. TN will stretch this Bama D out and torch it. Lots of yards after contact. Bryce Young won't matter.

Correction.

33-31. Bama lines up for a field goal to win it. Blocked.

Things come full circle from Mt Cody.

This can't happen for the sake of my heart. I'll stroke out and die from anticipation and then from celebration afterwards. I need a blowout so I can just chill all game and troll Bama fans

I’d love for us to win like this:
ToOtraitor tips a pass into the air that Tillman catches in the end zone for TD on games final play.
no extra point possible as students storm field and take South end zone goalpost to the river.
Vols 42 Bama 41

I know what you mean. I have been out procuring provisions for the game Saturday.

Big bottle of Maalox if we lose
Big bottle of Crown either way
Big Cuban Cohiba if we win

You forgot to pick up the Big bottle of French's Mustard and the Big package of Titleist golf balls if the refs screw us over again!

Bought a dozen golf balls just before the Ole Miss game last year. Last time I checked, still had 11?

Mustard? You mean you are still buying individual bottles? I buy by the 10 gallon tub these days. Recycling bins on garbage day are also an excellent way to find empty bottles. Fill them up from my 10 gallon tub and saved .myself a cool 27 cents on each bottle.

No need to block it id pay good money to see the looks on peoples faces if their kicker missed the game winning FG

Nope. Don't like it. Don't like it atl. 😂

Reason-it puts things out of our hands. If Bama missed a game winning FG, the refs would come up with some cockamamie reason why it was good

I sincerely believe that there are only two ways we beat Bama Saturday. 1. We come out red hot and I mean nuclear and put them so far down that the party starts early. 2. We do not give the refs any potential opportunity to decide a game winning play.

Josh plan is the same for every game.
Score 14-17 in the first qt.
Then match them score for score the rest of the game.
Great strategy when it works 👍

I expect Bama to put up at least 42. Our secondary has been serviceable up to this point and made a couple of plays, but the offense they’ll be facing Saturday is a different animal.

I bet it does.

I bet "first one to 30" holds up all season long.

There are three teams left on our schedule who haven't allowed anyone to score 30 on them yet: Bama (26 by Arky) ... Kentucky (but Northern Illinois got 23) ... and UGa (Kent State and Mizzou both got 22). We're gonna hang more than 30 on all three of them. We just gotta be there first, and we win.

Right now, let's concentrate on getting to 30 ahead of Bama.

Go Vols!

I think a lot of it depends on if BY plays and how effective he is. If he plays and is anywhere close to healthy we're gonna need 40+ to win the game and the above post doesn't matter much.

If Milroe is the QB, 30+ may win it outright. I think regardless it's gonna be tough to get to 30 in this game. Bammers been listening all week to analysts break down this game and talk about how we're gonna win. Saban will use it.
