I haven't lived in the Knoxville area for 30 years but have noticed that the Dott Baker agency is still around. They haven't survived for 60+ years without having something going for them.

yes i have had some bad luck. i started out with remax and a nice lady, but even she admitted things were not going as planned. ERA they were horrible, i'm thinking about selling it myself. i guess it is just that i have never sold a house before on my own i have never had any problems selling my other houses with realtors.

Finding a good realtor is liking finding a good mechanic. Hard to find the good and honest ones. Would definately use one but don't personally know any in area. For Sale by Owner you will pay lower amount on front end to get your house listed but then they quit on you with no service. Be wary of anyone who tells you they can do it cheaper. Normally cutting corners somewhere. If you are unhappy with house it also sounds like it may be problem on front end getting decent inspection or your neighbor hood sucks. Try to find a good inspector and always check out the new prospective neighbor hood at night and on weekends to see what is going on. Good hunting!

the house is great and so is the neighborhood, i wish i could pick it up and take it with me. me and my wife have both accepted jobs in the phoenix area, but if we don't sell the house before we are suppose to leave we won't go. your right about realtors they tell you what you want to hear then string you along with excuses.
