......as to whether there will be a coaching change after this pathetic game? This gets embarrassing week after week. A mid major puts up 721 yards of offense and all the coaches can do is throw their hands up in the air.
Surely Hart will make a change or announce Dooley's time is done on Monday. I watched snipets of the game on my computer, and heard the announcers state that Neyland was nowhere near capacity. Looked like tons of empty seats, and that was never the case during the Majors/Fulmer years during HC.
Would like to know what VN thinks.....

1. Several have said he will not be fired until seasons end.
2. Someone said around 65,000 in the stands

I dont know why Hart would wait until after the season. Realistically I dont see VOLS beating Vandy or Mizzou.
I thought I heard where the attendance was close to half of capacity. How sad.
Thanks for the info

I do know Gruden worked at Hooters (google it) so that means he likes orange (and knockers). My kind of guy!

What would firing him now accomplish? His replacement won't be able to take the job til their current season is over.

Nobody on here knows anything. Nobody at UT knows anything. Dooley as of right now is Plan A. If he loses any more games this year or if we can hook a big fish, then Dooley will become Plan B....

No one knows who or if anyone will be fired or hired. This just like the last two coach searchs. We'll always get the best coach and then we don't. Just support your team and we'll all see at seasons end.

I can absolutely confirm that a coaching change at UT is required.

Weather it happens during this season, after this season, or in the future I don't know.

I said it on another thead, watched Oregon tonight put up 62 on USCw. If Dools is here next year, we will go 5 - 7 and Oregon will hang at least 80 pts on us.

Well, before the season we were saying 8-4. If we win out we will be 8-5. He will get another year at that record. Problem for Dooley is that I can't see us winning out.

Was there. Made photos of the stands in case anybody I knew doubted it. 65,000 is high side estimate. We all spread out, took two seats and put stuff in the seats around us. Most could stretch their legs out on the seats in front of them. Scalpers were givng away tickets after the game started like crazy. You could just about sit anywhere you wanted, there were that many open seats.

Quiet, apathetic crowd.

A couple of reasons have been stated.
If and a BIG if Gruden is on the line and is being dealt with behind the scenes, you dobt want the attention.
We dont have a capable interim hc
Even if we dont have Gru on the line, You dont want the attention right now

And if anyone actually had direct knowledge of this sensitive information, they would totally be waiting for someone to make a topic on an internet message board so they could reply to it and divulge said information. Hart posts here all the time.
