This year isn't that bad. Certainly a failure but it could be worse. We could still make the tournament, which would be the worst thing to ever happen to this program. The talent on this roster is good, the young talent, is dreadful. It is nonexistent, abhorrent, embarrassing, laughable, deplorable. The incoming recruiting class adds nothing. This program is on the brink of being in worse shape than it was under Peterson and it isn't close. Think it can't get any worse than today? Check back with me next January.

The worst thing is that, as bad as Cuonzo's team is, it seems it will never be bad enough to make Hart feel ashamed.

The coaching on this team is so bad, there is NO WAY they make the tourney. We'll lose at least 5-6 more games minimum, maybe more, and there is no way we get in with 12 or more losses. Fire Cuonzo NOW, and don't even wait until the end of the season !!!

I don't think Hart is driving the basketball train. Coach Martin is the administration's guy and they are going to stick with him as long as possible. To not do so makes them look bad with their previous bb decisions.

We were all excited and pumped, filling TBA, beating number 1 teams, being the number 1 team in the nation for a week, making the dance and going to the elite 8. Tennessee BB was relevant.

Jimmy Cheek and Hamilton mismanaged a player showing up at Pearl's house for a BBQ. Jimmy Cheek and Hamilton then had to fire Pearl for lying because he didn't want to hurt the program. Jimmy Cheek and Hamilton hired Dooley, Raleigh and Cuonzo.

Dooley, Raleigh and Hamilton are gone, but Jimmy Cheek and Cuonzo are still in place and will continue to drag the men's BB team down from the middle to the bottom of the SEC.

Hart will have a tough time firing Cuonzo with Jimmy Cheek as his boss. The Pearl train has gone and will not return if Jimmy Cheek is here. What are the chances Hart can hire a top notch coach who will take us back to the happy times with Jimmy Cheek and his minions in place.

Get over it Vol BB fans. We will be mediocre as long as Jimmy Cheek is pulling the strings.

The only thing constant in the athletic department's disasters (football, men's basketball, baseball, track) is-------guess who-------Jimmy Cheek.

Would not be surprised if this team falls apart after this game...blows the Ole Miss game...tourney time clock will be stopped...fans will be in full on meltdown mode.

Can you imagine this team next year without Stokes, Maymon, and McRae? Mix in the coaching without that talent? SCAAAARRRRYYYYY!!!!!!!!!!

Hart and Cheek......Ben Howland could use a phone call....or 2....or 50 until he is patrolling the sidelines of Thompson Boiling:yes:

There's so much truth here. Next year will be a disaster. Hell, this year will be a disaster. 5 or 6 more losses are headed out way. Wouldn't surprise me to see Ole Miss win Saturday.

I do not think the Vols will make the NCAAT and yes next year will be dreadful but I do agree that it is highly unlikely that the Administration (including the AD) will fire CCM. It is laughable in my opinion but this Administration could care less about mediocrity in their sports programs.

Two more years of hopin against hope we can go dancing by winning the SEC tourney. Its the only thing that will lessen the size of the turd in the orange punch bowl.

This is one of those games where you just burn the tape and don't even watch. Start anew tomorrow and kick tail the next 10 games. Have to go 7-3 in the next 10.

The Vols will need to go 9 and 3 the rest of the way or no NCAAT.

Not going to happen.

Have a nice day.

Butt Cheek is the worst enemy of UT athletics. All he cares about is a Top 25 spot in research in US News. Sad thing is, we're not even close to achieving that. He is an abysmal failure. He has to be one of two things - colossally stupid or a Gayfer plant.

Both! I truly hate him.:censored:

The remaining schedule is 6 home games and 7 road games. The month of Feb alone has 5 road games against 3 home games. This is not looking good from what we saw yesterday.

Considering UT sports financial condition, it would not surprise me if the Admin. does not ride out his contract to prevent a buyout.

Hopefully yesterday was an aberration :crossfingers: The way we played LSU and UK on the road would be good enough to win most SEC road games

Yeah. That's the worst part about this. Dark days for UT sports

The good news is that both football and baseball are in a turnaround mode - look for baseball to be much improved this year and football much improved in 2015.

Basketball unfortunately hasn't hit bottom - that will be next year imo. The guys on the bench are not of SEC caliber save possibly Moore who is weak on defense. Look for 17 point first halves and under 40 for the game to be the norm next season - not the exception.

I feel that the admin needs to let this play out next year - no one can question releasing this staff once we are losing the majority of our games.

The NC State and Texas A&M games also tells me UT could easily lose a game or two at home.

If the incoming players don't make an immediate difference, UT will be the worst SEC team by far next year. And I'm not real high on the present players from an NBA standpoint. I keep hearing we have talent, but when the pro GM's start looking them over who know's? I'll tell you right now that as a Hawks fan, they'd better not draft Stokes. Pure and simple honesty. If they draft McRae, ok, but unless he can show up for 82 games, he wont be around long. You ever watch NBA games where a guy gets the ball alone somewhere? He'd better knock that shot down or learn to love Turkey or Italy.
