Personally, I want him to stay put. As much as I hate the dude (I love Urban Meyer compared to James Franklin), I want the satisfaction of seeing his little punk-bi*ch face after we reassert ourselves as Vandy's daddy, year after year after year after year after year ad infinitum.

I haven't seen much about it here, but some people I work with were saying they hope USC hires him so Vandy will return to being the SEC doormat. I'd prefer his departure from Vandy come as a result of us stomping mudholes in his team year after ye...see above.

Plus, I tried imagining how much more of a robo-douchetool he would be if he was actually at a football school and built an elite team, and I got legitimately pissed off at the mere thought of it, so much so that I saw a commercial with puppies in it and cussed them out.

I thought I saw somewhere that there's no chance of that happening.

I want him to leave. He is like a ingrown butt hair that annoys the crap out of me.

Even though I really dislike Vandy, and I HATE when they beat the Vols. As a college football fan, James Franklin is a hell of a coach.

I just don't see USC taking him.

I dont think they are the least bit interested in him AT THIS TIME. He'll need to be somewhere else first and win there also in order to get a premier job like USC.

USC wont hire the Vandy coach...cmon man

I am split on him and Saban
I like to think you want UT to be the reason these 2 guys met there demise
But
We have been bad for so long those 2 leaving certainly wouldnt hurt the climb to the top.

I could care less... If he stays we get curbstomp his as$ beginning next year. If he goes, the conference loses one of it's primary irritating and whiny coaches. Seems like a win either way to me.

I'm officially adopting this glass-half-full stance. I like the way you think :)

I want him gone. I want as many easy wins as we can get.
I heard Peyton Manning once give an interview about his Super Bowl winning team a few years ago, and he said, "I wish we could have played the Raiders 16 times that year and then played them every game of the playoffs."
An easy win is still a win, especially in the SEC. We'll always have tough teams on the schedule. I just don't like Vanderbilt being one of those now.

Does anyone think he might go to Boise State if Chris Peterson leaves for USC?

PetersEn...it looks like now that Chris PetersEn might be in the running for the Washington job....I hope he heck not....but if Chris PetersEn leaves Boise....I'd jump for joy if Franklin went to Boise State.
