Does Dale Earnhardt Jr. win the Nascar Championship?

I'm not sure. He's certainly running well enough to win it, as evidenced by the fact that he's leading the points right now. However, I'm not sure just running 5th every weekend will win the championship. If somebody (Jimmie Johnson) goes on a tear like he has in the past and wins 4 or 5 races in the chase, I doubt Jr. will get it done. As always, the roulette wheel of Talladega will be huge. You just never know what's going to happen there.

He can. He'd have a better shot under the old system, rather than the new WWF gimmick system, though.

I don't see him winning the championship but I have been impressed with him this season.

I've also been impressed with Steve Letarte. I thought he was a lot of Jeff Gordon's problem but apparently not.

He has to win more races to even think about it. If history repeats itself, someone will get hot during the Chase and rattle off 3-5 wins. Plus, he has to win more races in the regular season or he will be behind the other drivers with more wins once the Chase starts. In reality, no I don't think he will, but he I think he has the ability.

He certainly has the equipment and consistency to do it, he just has to win more races before the chase starts and keep winning during the last ten weeks. Michigan alone will not get it done.

Do you think we'll see full grandstands again at Cup races? I thought with Jr. winning a race and now leading the points would help attendence but I see a lot of empty seats on TV.

The economy isn't helping matters but i think a lot of people just assume watch them on TV now.

Extensive TV converage in HD, more racing venues across the country, and the economy are your three biggest things right now. It's a lot cheaper and easier to watch the races at home from the comfort of your living room
