Does David Stern have too much authority?

for what it's worth, Buss owns the Lakers. The Staples Center is owned by AEG. Unless Buss owns AEG, which he might, I don't see a problem here?

The guy OWNS the team. Who in the hell does Stern think he is? He OWNS the team. He can do whatever he pleases as long as he obeys the law. Drinking and driving is stupid to say the least, but my goodness, if the legal system is not detaining him in any way, the man can go where he pleases, espeacially if that "somewhere" is to watch HIS OWN B-BALL TEAM. Stern is a crackhead.

I do know that Jeanie Buss controls the venue, so I know the Lakers ownership has some power there, but still, Stern I think is a power monger and he is starting to get on my nerves.

I think it's an interesting way. I see it both ways. It is Buss's team. But it's like a parent getting away with something their child isn't allowed to get away with. If the player gets in trouble for doing something, shouldn't the owner as well?

I think Stern is intimidated by the discipline in the NFL.

Stern his the head of the league that Buss's team plays in so he can do what he wants.

David Stern might be the worst public speaker known to man.

I saw his press conference over that Tim Donuhey (maybe) ref that bet on games and I had to change the channel because of him saying, "Ummmmm" before every damn sentence he started.
