Is Lance Thompson a hotshot recruiter? Saban has spoken well of him and Kiffin brought him in to "recruit". He is no longer with Saban and Kiffin didn't take him with him.

Reason I ask; he's currently invoved in the recruitment of DE Ray Drew from Thomasville, GA and RB Isaiah Crowell. Does he have any shot? Does anyone in GA know about these kids and their interest?

I live in Nashville and I would like to go see Antonio Richardson. Has needs to stay in state. Who's recruiting him? I am planning on dressing like a chick. Wig, fake tits, and all and holding up a sign asking him to come to UT. Good idea?

Lance has a pipeline to the state of Georgia...the man can recruit.

Dressing in drag is never a good idea.

I was thinking about doing the same thing....going to see Richardson that is. I'm not dressing in drag though.

I'll stand corrected but Lance recruited Jawaun James and we have him. Lance missed on many, many guys. Is this because of what happened with the overall coaching changes?

Well I'm sure it won't be as "dedicated" as drag. I'm just trying to keep Hostess gate alive. It got Miller and we need Richardson.

Kiffin didn't take Lance Thompson with him BECAUSE Lance DIDN't want to go with Kiffin.

I was looking today at Rivals.com if we can can keep Clear and Robertson in state we have the line of the future and the post i did the other day becomes more and more true. The Vols return to the top in 2012.

Yeah but there is nothing wrong with someone going to a game of any sort and holding a sign and screaming someone's name. If I were employeed or sent by the school that would be a problem. Nevermind I thought it would be funny as hell and thought it would be a middle finger to all of that last year. Who knows maybe Antonio has a sense of humor.

I think I heard Hubbs say Chaney was recruiting Richardson. His style really seems to appeal to the big guys up front.

Orgeron took over the James' recruitment cuz he was such a high priority. Remember James talking about Orgeron sending those handwritten letters telling the mailman to put them on top or whatever haha?

Thompson did save our recruiting class last year though imo. Without his connections to GA and AL, we were screwed.

I heard Richardson liked Bama. X Bama LB Lamamski Hall is on Bowers staff at Ensworth. That could give Bama an edge. I hope not.... Maybe our staff can win him over! GBO!!

Lance is a little overrated as a recruiter. He's good but he was also a product of Saban at Bama. He did do a good job of holding our class together. People expecting him to reel in a bunch of 5 stars are going to be disappointed.

Lance Thompson was named recruiter of the year in 2008 by Rivals, I would say he is a Hot Shot recruiter. The situation then at Alabama was better than our current situation to recruit in by far, which is a big factor. But you don't get an award like that unless your are a "Hot Shot" recruiter. And I think you are obsessed with the "hostess gate" thing, starting two threads refering to it in one night.
