The way their fans are acting after the Auburn loss is crazy. So does this give Saban an excuse to leave because their fans think he should be fired for loosing 1 game.

Probably not. But if he does ever leave/retire, it gives the next potential coaches pause before considering the job.

Just heard on 104.5 in Nashville that Internet rumors have been going around that Gus Malzhan (spelling?) has told his close circle of friends that Texas is his dream job.

It was on the internet so it most be true.

Texas has money.

Saban DC

Malzahn OC

Kirby Smart LB

The entire state of Alabama spontaneously combusts.

Why does Saban need an "excuse" to leave Alabama?

He doesn't need an excuse so much as he needs a team of DevGru operators protecting him. If he ever leaves (for any reason), he'll be the one man in the state of Alabama who is more hated than obama. Saban could drop dead of a heart attack, and their fans would curse him and accuse him of not being a true bama fan.

He doesn't need an excuse, I mean he walks over players having seizures you think he needs an excuse? You don't know Saban, if you think he needs an "excuse".

The "excuse" would make for an entertaining press conference.

"I'd like to keep coaching at Alabama, but the fans here no longer want me, so I'm going to Texas."

Call me crazy but I want Saban to stay at Bama long term. I want to stockpile talent and be their biggest challenge again. I want to beat our biggest rival at their best. I want UT/UA SEC title games and UT/UA national Seminfinal and National title games. And most importantly I dont want the reason we beat bama again to be because their coach left.

Yep. It may suck now but it could be worth it. I never wanted Meyer to leave UF either.

Eh whatever, I'll take my wins over Bama however I can get them.

Texas University has more money than the whole state of Alabama. Having lived there for twelve years, I can testify that Austin's awesome. Why not, Nick? NC's at three major universities? Do it. We won't miss you in the SEC.........except for Slive.

Austin's awesome. TU has more money than all of the state of bammer, and Saban's soulless. Add the lure of NC's from three major schools, and Nicky just might take the bait. Maybe we'll have firsties on some of their recruits.
