So the SEC East is getting alot of grief from the media and even some fans here for being the worst division in football. While Washington has been getting alot of hype as a playoff team. Two positions I simply don't understand. The SEC East for as bad as it has been against the SEC West has some good out of conference wins. Tennessee and Georgia both have wins over the two teams currently leading the ACC Coastal (Virginia Tech and North Carolina). Compare that to the Pac-12 where there isn't a single quality win out of conference.

Just look at a team like Washington State that everyone is in love with right now because they are dominating the Pac-12 schedule. They lost two games to start the season against out of conference teams (including an embarrassing loss in week 1 to an FCS team). The Pac-12 leaders Washington have famously played the worst out of conference schedule in the country. In fact, the best showing all year by a Pac-12 team in an out of conference game might be Colorado only losing by 17 when they traveled to Ann Arbor to play Michigan.

The Pac-12 has simply be TERRIBLE this year. Even moreso than the SEC East. And I expect once bowl season rolls around, this fact will be exposed.

Don't sleep on Washington. Remember, they have the same coach that took Boise State to the Fiesta Bowl and beat OU. And OU had AP..

Washington is a really good football team. Utah, and Colorado are pretty solid teams as well. USC is coming on strong now. PAC 12 isn't great. But it isn't terrible like te Big 12.

They still don't play defense. Did you see the Washington/California game?
Washington beat probably the best offense in CFB by 39 points. The only reason CAL put up 27 was because Washington was scoring so frequently and fast. When they wanted to shut CAL down they were able to.

CALs defense is beyond hot garbage. Hell, Vandy could put 40 on them.

Bad throws by the California qb didn't help or they would have scored a few more times.

VIrginia Tech and UNC are better than all of those teams. Texas may be more talented than both, but like usual they can't put it together on the field.

Very likely, since it is a home game, Cougs could win the Apple Cup leading to a scenario where the loser of the Michigan v. OSU, particularly if the loser is Michigan.

Not arguing that. I'm just saying if Washington goes undefeated in the PAC-12 they certainly deserve to be in the playoff picture. And they definitely can't / shouldn't be overlooked. I know Saban won't make that mistake.

Based on the sun coming up tomorrow. Come on they are very finesse. Alabamas pass rush would destroy their timing. I doubt they go for more than 14 on Bama.

But the really arent going to get tested by a really good defense in the regular season. Washington state might give them a game but even their D is not that good. I think we will see if Washington is legit in the playoffs.

I hope not because I really want Washington State to pull the upset. I'm only a fan of the Cougars because of the area. I can't stand their coach. But I always pull for the Cougars vs the Huskies.

Off the top of my head ASU beat TTU. That's about the biggest win I can recall
