Does this kill all hope of Gruden??

Nope. He has a way out of that contract if he wants to coach again.

Does not matter....He will NOT coach at UT...Not sure what the big deal is about him anyway..

Well if he isnt going to lead us next yr then who is. Sure as hell better not be Dooley. And I can give you 12 million reasons why. Go Gruden! And Go Vols!

Well that settles it. We've been waiting for you to weigh in on this.

I guess we can move on now.

You are the "know-all-end-all" of VN! I guess I was put in my place.

BTW...Just because my opinion is not your opinion....does not make me an idiot, but your posts make you one!:salute:

I didn't call you an idiot.

It's funny, nobody on the pro-Gruden side of the house, despite what information we may have, has said Gruden is a done deal and will definitely be here. But there is a faction of people like you who post with absolute certainty that you know beyond the shadow of any reasonable doubt that Gruden will absolutely never in his life coach at Tennessee.

I was just glad to hear from a well informed authority, so I can stop wasting my time discussing this.

Again, I say thank you for sharing the truth of the situation with the ignorant unwashed masses.

A Lot of people are saying it's a done deal Dooley is gone regardless if we get Gruden or not.

That's possible but there are others saying Hart wants Dooley to succeed here as well. In my opinon (which doesn't mean much) Gruden is a long stretch and Strong is the last resort. Anything outside of that, we need to keep Dooley.

IMO I'd rather just keep Dooley than mess around with strong.

We need a coach that recruits are gonna call the coach to play for us

definitive statements don't really qualify as opinion.

I will tell you that they look bad when you have no idea what's going on.

We all wanted Dooley to succeed here but that time is passing rapidly.

Gruden has already stated he will get back to coaching if the right opportunity presents itself. I guarantee you he would never sign a contract that would prevent him from coaching again.

Its all about money, and network contract buyouts are pennies when compared to coach buyouts. I bet he can buy out for less than $1m, but thats just speculation.

I agree, why would you leave the cushy job making tons of money for a HIGH stress job in the SEC where you are on the road all the time away from your family. Just ask Urban Meyer ... do you really believe he left Florida for health reasons ?
