If 30% percent of it had been enacted then.We all would be living in a Utopian society today!

yeah, a Utopia as envisioned by Orwell in "1984".

socialism sucks. Any system that seeks to destroy the individual and force him or her to become just one of the collective is both inhuman and immoral.

Nicely said.

Which policies failed?

Why not. Use some softened or more politically correct rhetoric and you'd basiclly have one of his speeches on industry and economics.

Not really. I've never heard him say, "Private enterprise is hurting the American worker. Thus, we need to government to be the sole provider of work in this country."

Stimulus? "Modern" Health Care? etc etc blah blah blah

He has railed on private industry plenty of times and is obviously in love with government and the power of government to fix the economy, climate, failing companies, etc.

All politicians are. Once they get to DC, they usually don't stand on their values that they yell and brag about so much during campaigns and stuff.

Well then Obama must be the exception, he is absolutely sticking to his "values".

Yup.

If you're taking shots at Obama, this wasn't exactly the text to quote/link.

who is taking shots at obama? i am sorry if you feel that you must protect your hero. oh to be so young and so naive. i am taking a shot at the entire democratic party. the old socialist party knew they could never come to power being straight forward. so instead they decided to the best way to push their agenda would be to infiltrate one of the two major parties. which do you think they chose? this is why the democratic party has become the socialist party and the repubs have become the democratic party of old.

Except that he's not. I did vote for the guy, so of course I'm going to defend him, at least on some silly stuff, like all the "socialist" garbage.

Had there been any real criticism of him, that's one thing. Yes, his spending has been at the very least, irresponsible. But I doubt that he'll continue to spend like this forever, or at least during his term. I don't agree with him on everything. But I do think that Obama was better than McCain in terms of having this country going back in the right direction.

labor unions suck too.

Your like that old dog who has a pet bone.Gnaw,gnaw,gnaw.

It really makes me smile that unions tick you of in such a way. That you are in no position what so ever to do anything about any union,it's policies or their member's benefits. So chew that old bone and make me smile.

And what gives you reason to have this doubt?

well, since I'm an "old dog", don't leave your work boots out where I can get to them. If you do, there's going to be a a very special kind of insole left in them.

and I remain in a great position regarding unions. I don't belong to one, and I never will.
