Does Vanderbilt have an advantage of UT baseball in-state?

From an outsider's perspective, I would think UT would have the advantage in-state due to lottery scholarships and cheaper tuition.

Thus, UT can use some scholarships on Out-of-state players to be more attractive to some GA players, NC players, etc.

Vandy still would have interest from some affluent northern and western players, but you would think Tennessee should rack up in-state. Especially in Memphis despite Ole miss' presence there. Ole Miss doesn't have a lottery scholarship to help those players, so they have to spend schollies.

Does Vandy have an advantage over Tennessee in baseball?

Ole Miss kinda does because of the fan base (sorry, but UT just doesn't support its baseball program for whatever reason).

Vandy has an advantage because the have the need based financial aid. So almost all players can get full rides, no matter how much baseball money they get.

The need based financial aid really can't cover most of their players though, huh? How is that a loophole that's allowed? I figured most of Vandy's players were pretty affluent.

I was playing golf with a Vandy grad a while back and he told me that nobody graduates from Vandy still owing money for their education. Don't know if it is true but might make a difference with some people.

If you have ever heard Coach Corbin speak, it just takes a few minutes to see why kidz would want to play for him.
His Story to where he is at is a great one.
His demeanor would take some getting use to. It is his way or NO way.
But as much as I hate Vandy, I do respect him as a Baseball Coach. :hi:

Midstate baseball is pretty solid. Vandy and MTSU have been getting their pick of these kids over UT under Raleigh. Coach Corbin is passionate and a ton of UT fans send their kids to his baseball camp because it's just better.
