but doing it anyway. My 7 yr old has wondered, since he started watching football with me at a young age, why I liked UT. He's turned games off each year and walked out of the room. Became an Oregon and FSU fan as he put his top 25 mini helmets in order and he puts UT on the floor in the "others" area.

PS. Thanks for sharing the story. As a father, I've fought to keep my own children from following the masses of bandwagon bama fans at school. As a teacher, I'm sick to death of the kids wearing crimson at a TN school.

If they give me a hard time when the Vols lose, I just ask what state they were born in. Their parents? Ever lived in Alabama? Answers are almost always "TN, TN, and no." I then say, "Then your team lost Saturday, whether you admit it or not."

I hear you on the soccer deal and was like that, but if you saw what I saw yesterday with corner kicks and headers for goals at age 7, you become a fan, especially when little dude in my avi is out there flying around the field.
Plus, when his buddies at school are out for concussions from kids tackle football, I let him do what he does.
