We've reached the back half of the SEC schedule as you'll see teams - like Tennessee, playing fewer midweek games. Partly due to final exams and partly due to getting ready for post season play. And the midweek games you get normally lacks zing.

Tuesday night may be last hurrah.

Ole Miss vs Mississippi State in non SEC game in Jackson/Pearl
Louisville vs Kentucky in the Lexington batcave

The rest are blah
North Florida vs. Florida
Georgia State vs. Georgia
Bellarmine vs. Tennessee
Troy vs. Auburgn
Samford vs. Alabama
Sam Houston vs. Texas A&M
Arkansas vs. Missouri State
Nicholls vs. LSU

Wednesday night sees only one game
Missouri at SIU Edwardsville

Even most- if not all, the weekend series are kind of "blah" as there is only one series of two ranked teams. (UK/VU) as the top half of conference placys the bottom half with the ranked teams hosting every series.

Thursday - Saturday SEC series.
Mississippi State at #24 Tennessee
Texas A&M at #7 Arkansas

Friday-Sunday series

#15 Kentucky @ #5 Vanderbilt
Auburn @ #3 South Carolina
Alabama @ #1 LSU
Missouri @ #4 Florida
Georgia @ Mississippi

don't look for a lot of upsets in this schedule.

There are only 8 midweek games next week. None particularly interesting.

Expecting the Vols to take care of business and start a move up the ladder.

How will Vandy respond? Will Alabama and A&M make moves?

I believe Coastal Carolina and Wake Forest play today at 5pm. I believe that is a top 10 matchup.

Hopeful the Vols will take care of business and put this up on the split screen.

LSU losing midweek again

I know- trust me, that the #1 team in nation is an even bigger target for in-state teams

But LSU's pitching after top 2 starters is a weakness.

Because of matchups and luck they may still win the CWS but could be susceptible beginning at Super Regional stage.

LSU might can survive the postseason as long as they don't get into a loser bracket; if they do, they are done!

I don't think it will even take a losers bracket. A team -even a mid major, with quality #2 and #2 starters will cause problems.

Coastal got crushed by Wake and they are ranked 10th. Another series sweep would put us back in the running to host.

Vols MUST win one the last 2 road series to host.
The road record is terrible.
Obviously next weekend is likely the best chance but UGA is better now than they were a month ago.

with the Barn clinching their series in Columbia I see some light there. agree UGA is playing much better, didn't give them much of a chance against the Piggies but they played well. hoping our road woes reset and end there.

Before we caught fire the home record wasn’t all that either.
This isn’t the same team home or away moving forward.

Auburn winning the series in Columbia is normally what they do to UT.
suck all season and pull it all together in Knoxville

They are leading game 3 4-2 in the top 2nd

It's clear the East is stronger than the west this season as there are only 2 quality teams in West
Missouri has 5 wins total. UGH They are the worst team in conference and we let the weather get in our heads
I'll be surprised if Tennessee and Kentucky are not tied after today. The Cats lead Commodores 1-0 nothign early on and in rain delay.
Alabama just gave up a 7 run inning and now trail at LSU
I believe the last two teams are pretty much set and think only Miss. State could join them. However, MSU has tiebreaker over the Rebels. The Rebels go to Mizzou next weekend. Get your tickets early.
Missouri's schedule is actually fairly soft the last 3 weekends. (OM, UGA, at Auburn) but they are terrible without frost warnings in place.
