He's going to try and literally be president. Wyclef Jean is running for president of Haiti.

I wasn't sure where to put this. It's technically politics, yet also pure entertainment.

How much of a stretch is this? I know nothing about the guy and I'm not going to assume he is an idiot because he is a musician. Does he have a chance?

Not sure how effective you can be as a president of a country if you can't even pay your taxes in the one you are currently living in.

A decent one, if there is a free and fair election there. He's VERY popular, and there is hardly any such thing as an "educated voter."

I think he could win. What's sad is, he has already done more for the Haitian people through charities than any of their recent leaders have.

I think this is a qualification of leadership if anything. That and having no qualms about just stealing 3/4 of the budget for things like torture chambers, exotic palaces, cars, planes, etc.
