True Gators freshman defensive tackle Dominique Easley 'not part of the team right now' | Gatorsports.com

"He's not part of the team right now, for a lot of reasons," Meyer said after the game.

Easley, rated a five-star recruit by Rivals, Scout and ESPN out of Staten Island, N.Y. Curtis High School, saw significant playing time against Georgia but has missed time this fall for a variety of reasons, including a foot injury, a funeral back at home and other unspecified reasons.

Another FL 5 Star bites the dust? That class is melting. Whats going on down there?

what 5* has bitten the dust? Dowling,Haden and Coxon where all 4*.... he's still part of team and if he's going to Oregon he'll have to pay his own way for a yr or go the juco route because the rumor is Meyer's not going to release him to Ducks (someone close to their porgram is having contact with the kid).

Meyer doesn't intend to release him. Period. Not just to Oregon.

Dowling was a 5* on ESPN btw.

The guy has know Easley's family for years I think he's a GA or something like that but some of the problems are coming from this kat. This is the same thing that was happening with Robert Marve so he could transfer to the school of choice.

You're such a tool, goodness.

Easley was headed to Eugene until the morning of the Under Armour game when his dream school Florida extended a last minute offer. Oregon was his top choice having not been offered by Florida - so it would be no big surprise that he is in contact with the program, having been very unhappy with his choice.

And what do you even know about the kid's character? I mean, beyond the fact that he wasn't included in the travel squad recently? You don't know a damn thing.

It's an NCAA violation for other school to be in contact players who haven't been granted release from scholly so Oregon is openly admitting to this? If so then he could be made to sit out two years.

So, what your saying is kids pick Oregon until they get an offer from an SEC school?

haha

No, I'm saying that THIS particular kid wanted to be a Duck barring an offer from THAT particular school. That's it.

And no, as far as I know Oregon hasn't said a damn thing about this. (Naturally.)
