In a move reminiscive of the ‘I didn’t read the intelligence report before the war’ move (all but 2 of the 180 Democrats in the House at the time) the #3 ranked leader of our nation is refusing to meet with the battlefield commander…

Pelosi Won't Attend Petraeus Briefing

As the House and Senate prepare to vote this week on the final conference report on the $124 billion troop funding bill — which would also mandate that U.S. combat troops begin withdrawing from Iraq on Oct. 1 at the latest — Gen. David Petraeus is scheduled to come to the Hill tomorrow to brief lawmakers on the progress of the recent troop escalation.

ABC News has learned, however, that House Speaker Nancy Pelosi, D-Calif., will not attend the briefing.

But wait! It’s all good!

"She can't make the briefing tomorrow," a Democratic aide told ABC News Tuesday evening. "But she spoke with the general via phone today at some length."

Alec Baldwin talks to his kid on the phone too, and we all know how that worked out.

What could possilby be more important that that meeting?

Now some might say that this shows the (lack of) respect that the Democrats have for our troops.

Personally, I think that she didn’t want to look him in the eye and tell him she’s going to fark him and his troops efforts in the a$$ later in the week.

Word is that Harry “I SURRENDER!” Reid also refused to meet with Gen. Petraeus.

I think they both are gutless… if you are going to do what it is they hope to do, have the stones to look and man in the eye before you do it.

Thoughts?

:eek:lol:That's a pretty good line.

Harry better be careful though or he's headed in that direction himself.

Ole' San Fran Nan and her constituants better be careful or the American people may want to get them out of office before the end of this year.

People knew what they were getting when they put the Dems in charge. None of this is new news. No one was sold a bill of goods so if there is outrage, it's because quite a few million people had their heads in the sand last November.

I don't think their heads were in the sand as much as they were just holding their noses a little bit as they voted in all those moderate Democrats.

Seeing as how Congress has yet to do anything that affects most Americans, I don't think there would be much outcry for a turnover as soon as was indicated above.

Yep . . . I'd bet they won't do anything earth shattering until after the '08 election and then . . . it's time for some revisions to the income tax structure.
