Despite media digging Jimbo Fishers grave, they don’t end up 8&4 or even 9&3. After Bama, the only ranked teams left are Ole Miss & LSU, both at home. They have Fla at home. They play at sC (Whoopi) and got Umass. Not a murderers row at all. None can score a lot of pts which is Aggies weakest.

It’s not worth $9.5 million they pay their coach but they are a young team.

I mean, it's not like they are going to fire him in the off-season. Hell, if they do old Jimbo would be laughing all the way to the bank. He is what he is-a decent P5 coach. No more no less and the Aggies are waking up to the fact that they overpaid in a big way. If he was getting paid the same as Heupel or Mike Leach everyone would be praising Jimbo about what a good job he was doing.

I have never trusted coaches who have enjoyed great success, but only with one QB. Remove the Jameis seasons, and Jimbo averages about 8 or 9 wins a season which is exactly what A&M is getting

A&M did overpay. And i agree on coaches that win big with only 1 class.

Yeah i think Texas A&M goes 8-4 and plays 7-5 Oklahoma in the Liberty Bowl

Their offense is close to pathetic. 8-4 may be too hopeful for A&M this year. They are 3-2 and they have to following games left:
@Alabama - Loss
@South Carolina - Win
Ole Miss - Loss
Florida - 50/50 game
@Auburn - Who knows
U Mass - Win
LSU - Feels like a loss
I don't see five wins here. They have to beat SC, Florida, Auburn, UMass, and LSU.

My Steeler fan finance is getting that same worry about a head coach only having success with one QB.

Don't be surprised if Lane Kiffin succeeds Steve Sarkisian at Texas this December or December 2023. Texas is probably a much more attractive gig to Lane Kiffin who never stays anywhere very long than Ole Miss is.

Here’s the biggest question, who would TAMU get to replace Fisher?

The lose to Appy is inexcusable. But there’s not a single coach out of Saben who can run through the West.

I don't think Texas will get rid of Sark with Oklahoma in a definite turmoil and the move to the SEC soon.

He's not going anywhere this December, but if he doesn't beat Oklahoma on Saturday they'll start to make him really uncomfortable.

Nah mate. The Mannings are not big fans of little Lane. Arch is the crown jewel of their recruiting class next year. They signed most of their top tier talent this year based on Arch signing.

Quite honestly, this is one of those rare occasions where athletics and celebrity mix. Head coaches are a dime a dozen when you stop to think about it. There's Saban all by himself then maybe one rung below him would be Kirby and Dabo based on results. After that, is well, everybody else trying to move up in the pecking order. Who is very hot (Tom Herman, Scott Frost, etc, etc) may turn out to be a dud

The AD in Austin is borderline schizo anyway having to deal with the booster situation, trust me they will choose s blue chip over a coach any day of the week.

Every Tennessee fan on this board would’ve left USC after one year if momma Tennessee called. And anyone with a brain would leave FAU for a Power 5. No one here has anything concrete that Kiffin would leave Ole Miss.

The bar was raised when they put in back to back top recruiting seasons. Expectations are playoffs, anything less will be a disappointment.
