This is unprecedented! Dan Bebee, who is suppose to show the type of leadership required to be a successful commissioner, has run one of the major conferences in college football all the way to the ground. Yeah he brought in 130 million to the conference in some sort of way but the idea for a network was turned down and he can't distribute the money where everybody would be satisfied? How can a conference with a championship game turn into a major corporation that has declared bankruptcy with no hope of a bailout nior reorganization.

Bebee, who was the commissioner in the OVC, ran it like it was his old conference.

All hell has broken loose and it's all because of him.

This is not even as worse as the collapse of the SWC.

I don't get it.

My feeling is the collapse of the Big XII and the expansions of the Pac-10 and Big 10 only make the move toward a playoff more likely to happen in the future. The BCS is on life support if you ask me.

He was a solid wideout for the Bills, though.

Seriously, you are meaning Dan Beebe

Not only Beebe but add to that the arrogance of Dodds. Now Castiglione is relegated to riding the coattail of Texas football; the irony.

Wasn't Don Bebee's head run into the ground during a game once?

This and the possibility of the new superconferences leaving the NCAA are what excites me the most.

As far as Don Bebee, what did he do?! WHO IS HE?!?!

And the Big XII's collapse was set in motion long before Dan Beebe was ever brought on as commish.

Beebe's been with the Big 12 since 2003 and acting commissioner for almost 3 years in August. I would say he is very culpable and very much to blame for the mess the Big Twelve is in right now.

I know it doesn't feel good to have a commish that bends over and takes it up the wazoo every time he hears the word Longhorn.

Nevermind. My original post in response to this would have earned me a three day vacation from vn. To summaize, it does indeed suck.
