Just a few weeks ago, LSU fans were trying to fire Les Miles. Two years ago, Auburn fans, administration, and money man Lowder were trying to fire Tuberville. In the late sixties, Bama fans were trying to fire Bear Bryant. Gene Stallings lost his first three games at Bama, after taking over a Curry program which was on the rise.

Programs go through ups and downs. Look at all Fulmer has been through with the court/NCAA stuff. Don't you think that takes a toll? It does. It's emotionally exhausting. But he'll come out of it.

He's gonna have some different competition than in past years, namely Shula, Spurrier, and Myers, but he'll come out of it.

All of this talk of firing Fulmer is going to hurt UT football. How would you like to be a recruit and be hearing this stuff?

So true!! Living in Alabama and seeing the turmoil that Bama has been through, and seeing what the Aubies go through on a regular basis, I don't want to see the Vols go through the same.

People are just too panicky and impatient. They think everyting has to be fixed today.

Hey is there a magical pill I can take??

GEEZ!

I wouldn't call it "impatience." I think the biggest problem is definitely the assistant coaches associated with the offense (See RS). However, PF's inability to either (1) locate the problem or (2) take care of the problem is what's most distressing. As consistently as we've lost 3 or 4 games per season in the last six years, PF has to know there is a problem somewhere.

This problem has been years in the making and will continue to get worse if you stay the course. This isn't impatience when people have been screaming it for years, but the good ole boys won't listen.

As Gene Stallings once said, a football coach who listens to the fans will soon find himself sitting with them on Saturdays.
