CBJ record in his first year is not great, BUT, his teams get better in their 2nd to 3rd year...He is doing what he can with the players he has...We are NO 1 IN RECRUITING right now on some sights and TOP 3 on almost all others...it will get better...we did BEAT A TOP 15 OPPONENT THIS YEAR...

Central Michigan

2007: 8-6 6-1

2009: 11-2 8-0

2010: 4-8 2-5
2011: 10-3 5-2
2012: 9-3 5-2

MAC

Hopefully, he can continue, but its going to take a few staff changes to get there

He can tweet and interview at the same time. Pretty sure he and Chuck Norris are brothers. He's probably keeping it quiet so he doesn't make Chuck look like a pansy. :rock:

Track record is NOT proven in SEC but in few joke conferences. Having said this CBJ deserves more time assuming he can pull in that top 5 class, and assuming he gets rid of the best bearcat assistants in America and brings in much better assistants (especially urgent on the defensive side of the ball where it's already clear we have Sunseri 2.0).

GA is #4 with 17

When UT completes the class by adding 2, and GA adds 13, might those rankings change just a bit?

I'm not going to ever give up but why can't we have freshmen like Winston at fl state which will probably win the hesiman so depressing to be down for so long although I think butch gets done eventually but patience is not my strong suit

Is he going to stick with Jancek? Was he like a quick hire or does he really believe in this dude's defense?

Can Ga sign 30? the limit is 25 unless you do all the back counting/grey shirting/Algebra/Calculus/those damn word problems etc...:)

only the top 20 apply on rivals. Based on discussions on this site, we have at worst 3 4 stars signing to fill the last 3 spots.

He's a ? to me right now. He doesn't have much to work with but you gotta coach what you have and make it better. We ll see how he finishes.

I know I'm not in any position to be saying anything because I'm not out there with them, but aren't good coaches supposed to coach their players up and teach them? Is the majority of our D just that bad?

Don't think that's the way it works. They only count the composite scores of your top 20 players.

I think we do have the freshman like Winston on our team, we just dont have enough talent on the team like fsu does.

Your opinion is spot on.
This defense has a lower ceiling based on talent and depth. They seemed to have made some strides but struggled greatly tonight. I'm curious to see if they bounce back and play better going forward or do they continue the wrong way. That will answer your ultimate question as to whether or not he's the right guy for the DC job.
