You know hate some people actually like the DS. Even some Vol fans.

I don't dislike him. I'm just wondering how short of guests you have to be to book the #2 receiver for the Saints.

Lindy's Fantasy Football mag has Donte ranked ahead of Joe Horn and Bush isn't even ranked.

Well then, if a Fantasy Football mag says he's better, I'll just completely ignore production and say Stallworth is better.

Last years production was what they based their ranking on. Horn will be 34 next year and their guess is that with the attention that Horn and Bush will get will help DS improve his numbers. I was surprised at the ranking too. :dunno:

I like Donte. I just fear he's always going to be a guy who is always about to have a breakout year, but never does.

Rome is doing a national show. It's not like he's doing a show from one of the 50 watt stations in Heiskell that guys like Basilio work for. I'm sure people in New York and Chicago were racing to their radios as word spread that Stallworth was on the show.

He has had much worse athletes that Stallworth on his show. The fact that he has any NFL player is a step up from most segments.

It's no Butch Davis interview but still.

Man, I hate Jim Rome!

I once did too... However, at that time I had yet to understand. Plus I never heard his radio show. As he has turned a 180 with NASCAR, I have turned a 180 with him. Like his personality or not, he is very talented at what he does. Ask anyone in the sports reporting/analyst business, and they will tell you he is one of the best. He may be offensvie and rude at times, but it rarely gets boring. I still am "iffy" with his tv show, but his radio show beats everything else I've heard, especially everything new the sports animal attempts to come up with.

:haha_oh:

Like him or not, Rome is the best thing going in Sports Talk Radio! Like he says, when athletes stop doing stupid things, he will stop calling them out in a negative way. He did a show where he was pretending to be nice for a few segments. It ended up being lame, leading to his message that "nice radio" sucks! You KNOW that the guys with attitude are the guys that last in the long run... You can't argue that.

Donte's part in that insane touchdown return with the Saints year before last makes him worth a few interview minutes alone...
