Dooley and Recuriting

Why is everyone on here freaking out because Tennessee does not have a lot of players signed. To start with Tenn has had 3 coaches in the last 3 yrs. These kids are going to wait and see before they sign with Tenn. Dooley and the coaches will do a great job getting the kids to come here. You know these kids get on here and read things the fans are writing about Dooley. If you are Vols fans keep the faith. Whats better signing 15 players now and half leave before NSD we will get our share of good players. Everyone just relax and let Dooley and his coaches do their job. And get behind them. Not talk bad about them.

I wouldn't waste my breath. Most on here have the realistic expectations and optimism until proven otherwise. The ones you are trying to convince have spent too much time following the last coach to the tanning bed and have burnt away every rational thought in their brain.

I don't care about his "recuriting" as long as the recruiting thing works out.

we have as many people signed as Alabama, Florida, and Texas combined...which is 0. NSD isn't till Feb. and recruits can't sign their LOI until then

Personally I don't believe recruits have the time to sit around and read what fans are saying about coaches. They are to busy taking visits and going though the whole recruiting process IMO. I'm sure they might take a glance ever now and again, but I'm sure there not on here every waking moment to read every anti Dooley comment.:twocents: I do understand what your getting at and I think fans just need to let the coaches do their jobs. Everything will work out.

I think what has most people scared is that bama has 12 commits uf like 10 I think and we have 2. That is not really setting the world on fire but yes, feb is a long way away. Wins will help everything from attitude to recruiting. I am sure that most recruits look at us and USCe as about the same school right now and that is what stris the pot.

At this point last year, UT had 3 commits - J. Smith, Broussard and Jose Jose.

A long ways to NSD.

I think that it hurts more than most know. If I know that there is a thread about me and I've googled it a few times than I might actually make it a favorite.... even look around the site to see what they or who they are talking about. Once I see all the negativity I might find the positive attitude at a rivals site that makes me feel better. Besides, I am only 18 and my HOPE for a great future is wide open. Why choose a school where everyone is Negative all the time?

The guys that want our recruiting to be better and thinks that posting about our coaches all the time will make a difference could actually be the cause for recruits to go a different direction. The problem is they can't be quiet long enough for our coach to make a difference. I believe its the "I want to be heard" generation, "the spoiled" kid who is really an adult by age, or the "win at any cost" type of fan. Most of these people seems to have the same characteristics as the Negative fans do and the biggest once is "lack of patience!!"

I'm behind 100 percent i've read countless meaningless threads about dooley's recruiting, and it only being 2 commits like they've forgotten about the 3 different coaches in 3 years. I'm done with these sky is falling oh my God we only have 2 recruits and its May. The negativity is unbelievable. Just thought I'd back up. I'm 25 by the way. I've seen a little bit myself:rock::rock::good!:

And it's fun to note that two of those three ended up elsewhere, while the third (J. Smith) just flat out loved UT and was previously committed to Fulmer.

I thought he did a great job of holding the 2010 class together. After what happened you can't say he has done a bad job. People have unrealistic expectation, it's going to take time folks.

Easy now I like LSU fans until they get drunk. After that they are almost as bad as bama fans.
