Love em or hate em when he was onboard these NCAA issues where handled differently.
We didn't take a gut shot from the NCAA on every damn issue

The NCAA was run differently also... Now no one knows if they are going to get the death penalty for a player getting $20 worth of free food or 5 scholarships taken
for letting an Asst Coach rape 15 children...thats after they penalize them and then reduce the penalty...The NCAA is a bad joke...

The NCAA has gone down hill since moving from Kansas City to Indianapolis. Just saying.

Lamar Alexander is the one to blame for Wade Houston. Dickey had no say in that one. Blame Dickey for Jerry Green, tho.

If Dickey had been the AD, there is no way Pearl would have been blindsided by the NCAA with the photo and questions. He would have prepped him and made sure he told the truth. Then DD would have negotiated a settlement with the NCAA on punishment.

There is no way the men's athletic dept would have run off the rails under Dickey like they did under that idiot Hamilton.

Also Dickey allowed UK merchandise to be sold in TBA.

Things have changed with the times, sure. Purely athletic dorms were the norm during Dickey's tenure and the media and technology was much different in those days.

Jerry Green made the NCAA tournament in all four of his seasons. Let's blame Dickey for Buzzzzzz Ball...Only in the cluster**** world of Tennessee bball do you see coaches with a perfect track record of making the big dance fired and replaced with guys that never made it (or will never make it).
