Had Tennessee in the NCAA tournament on sportscenter this morning. Georgia and Cincinnati Were his other two teams on the bubble that didn't make it.

Its not really as close as you guys think. We're going to be a 6-10 seed depending on how we finish.

On the other hand, your mountainqueers are in some trouble.

Haha yeah they will have to make some noise in the big east tourney to get in. It's rough when two recruits get ruled out and you are trying to depend on Casey Mitchell as your go to scorer.

With a weak field this year, and 3 additional spots in the field, we only need 3 wins max to make the NCAAT.

Since there's a thread about this guy, just thought I'd take this opportunity to share my opinion on his radio show. It's awful!
He's like Wes Rucker in that he makes the show all about himself, and not as much about the sports. Also, if it isn't basketball, he seems to really not know what he's talking about. Not sure how he has his own show year-round.
That is all.

This is a never ending debate. I still think that there is no way that you can keep a team out that has beaten Nova and Pitt and has the SOS and RPI that we have.

I am not an NCAA Selection expert, but I would also agree that with ~40 non-AQ teams in the tournament and with an RPI in the mid-20's we are in.

Of course we can mess it up, but unless we fall to the mid 30's to low 40's IMHO we're dancing.

If we are 3 strength of schedule, who are no.'s 1 and 2? I would think that the top four or so would all be from the big east. I mean, ct., nova, pitt...plus that conference is a LOT deeper than the sec....

I would like to have 20 wins, after the SEC tourney. I recall a team last season, I believe it was Ole Miss or MSU, that didn't get in the tourney. I would rather have the 20 wins and do away with the doudts of us being eligible to get in.
If we beat USC again, UGA, MSU and Vandy, we will be at 20 wins and in. Of course, we could lose one of those and win one game in the SEC tourney and still get in.
I said b4 Tony Jones took over that we would barely get the 20 wins needed to get in.
We will get in the tourney, but if we get a bad draw, we could be one and done. A bad draw for us would be College of Charleston.....

I don't care for Gottlieb, but he couldn't shoot, wasn't as athletic as any pg in the SEC, but played a pretty damn good pg.
