This just can't be right. I smell major BS in their explanation of why they were killed.
No more contracts with this company.

“Due to their contract being revoked, they slaughtered 24 of their US K9 dogs whom were trained by USK9 dog training facility which is located in Louisiana, USA,” the post reads. “This security company is an American company which worked with Kuwait National Petroleum Company (KNPC). KNPC paid 3000KD (equivalent of $9900)/month) to the security company for each dog.”

But the Eastern Securities of Kuwait said the animals were euthanized due to ongoing health issues, not because of the failed contract.

“These dogs were suffering in the condition they were in,” an anonymous employee told the Arab Times. “In my opinion, this should have been done a year ago.”

He said all the dogs had to be put down either due to aggressive tendencies or medical conditions that included tumors, cataracts, chronic diarrhea and hip dysplasia. He said they had planned to euthanize the dogs in smaller groups but that a member of the kennel staff “jumped the gun,” and has since been fired

Some war dogs, though heros, get so aggressive they're virtually impossible to control. We had one, Ranger, on our compound near DaNang that took down any other dog it saw. Got loose and absolutely destroyed another good wardog, Bullet. They put him down.

As for dysplasia and illness? I suppose those are valid reasons. If the animals have serious untreatable medical problems, putting them down is the only humane thing to do.

You should definitely read the whole story. The dogs were abused long before this ever happened. They worked them for 24 hours straight with no rest among other things. I'm fairly sure diarrhea isn't something you euthanize a dog over.

OK... I really do not know the complete story, as no one who reads "the full article" will. And of course, if the dogs were put down only because of loss of contract that is despicable. However, there are close to a hundred dogs that were NOT euthanized. While the way it was handled seems deplorable as, according to the article, someone jumped the gun and went ahead and euthanized this group at once

But think about this, is it possible given the described work conditions, and that about 20% of all shepards develop hip dysplasia which is incurable, and "that guy" hated having to keep animals in incurable misery a day longer than necessary, is it possible "that guy" did the "right thing" and the "wrong thing" was the company making about $200,000 a month keeping incurable and miserable dogs alive? We don't know.

He said all ..."
