"I just came from Bruce Pearl's office a little bit ago and you walk in there and and sit down and talk to Bruce and you walk out of there and you want to go over and kick the door because you are so excited. You get so thrilled and pumped up. That's the way he gets those kids to play. That's one of his great tools is he keeps them energetic on the floor. He keeps them loose on the bench. I don't know if you ever hear what he says on the bench but he does a great job of, the players who are normally playing but are sitting on the bench for a moment, teaching and coaching when something happens. But he also does a good job of keeping the kids loose. He yelled out on the floor the other night with one of the kids that was shooting a free throw. He pointed to one of the other kids and said 'He doesn't think you are going to make it, he thinks you are going to miss it' and the kid chuckles. That is just enough to keep the kid loose and he makes the free throw."

what he has done for the UT basketball program in 1 year is amazing.

can you imagine what next year's recruiting class will bring? i will not be surprised to see us top 10 next year in recruiting.

at least i dont have to hear "Phil sucks" as much as i am hearing, "Bruce Rules".

The guy is amazing!

I just watched it last night too. Even the Bruce Pearl Show is more energetic and a slightly different format. I like the way they put that one together. I thought it was pretty funny that Pearl was was telling Jujuan that CJ thought he couldn't make his free throws. Also where Pearl was betting with Major that "Chill" would make his free throws. He's a fun coach. We're going to get some good recruits. Who wouldn't want to play for him?? Well, other than lazy players..

Yeah OWB, I guarantee you he's got the attention of a lot of hot prospects.
