Since it looks as though UT is going to get Rodney Garner, who was recruiting Kirkpatrick at UGA, the combination of Garner, M. Kiffin, and Oregon may just be too much to pass up..... He is already considering UT (per rivals) along with a bunch of other schools... He's from Alabama so i'm sure Saban wont let him leave state but you never know.

Your thoughts???

I'm sure this has been posted elsewhere so feel free to merge if needed.

i think he goes to bama just because our coaching staff is getting on the trail a little bit to late....our 2010 class is going to be bad ass...i mean who in their right mind wouldint want to play IN THE SEC with monte kiffin as your coach on defense and coach O hounding your ass to come to knoxville..satan can kiss rocky tops ass next year

I heard that saban is shying away from this kid because he has to much baggage.Don't know if it's true or not.

Even though Garner was recruiting him for Georgia, this kid is all bammer. God help him.

I guess we have a chance at getting Garner back since he interviewed....but what can we offer that Georgia wouldn't counter? Is he unhappy at UGA, or is he just trying to raise his pay?

Apparently this is a done deal, Georgia can't do a thing at this point if Rodney agrees to terms.

Done deal????????? things change quickly....i.e. Coach O. to LSU reports.

You're completely right we have all seen weirder things happen, but Rodney ASKED for this interview.

He's un-happy he wasn't offered the DC position two years ago and Martinez and his defense has sucked!

I disagree with most of you who say Dre is a lock for Bama... we all know things can change... Just ask Morgan Moses, who said he was all but committed to Tennessee before all the coaching changes.... I'm not giving up on this kid because who knows what remaining coaches we'll get... and you know either L.Kiffin, Coach O, or M. Kiffin will see this kid or talk to him one. I'll be realistic and say sure Bama might have the lead... but I won't go as far as to say he's a "lock" for Bama.

you're wasting your time with this kid. He's all Bama. Jerrell Harris has been in this kid's ear all year.

Something I don't think anyone has brought up is that this guy has a two year old son that he's wanting to stay close to. I read an article in the AJC about it, it would seem that this guy would be Alabama bound.

*Ok if what you say about him having a 2 yr. son is true... then I totally take back my statement, lol. I can totally understand if he goes with Bama, and honestly I would expect him to.

He has a son. It was an article in the Bham News that shows him holding him and talking about.his son the entire article.

Even if he didn't have a son I wouldn't waste time on him. He is a Bama lock. Why fight Saban for an Alabama kid when Saban clearly has the lead? No, that time is better spent on other talent or building relationships for the next class.
