Dream SEC college football nonconference rivalries - ESPN

Tennessee-North Carolina: Even if most people don’t remember it, there’s history there. Tennessee and UNC have played 29 times, with the Vols holding a 20-8-1 advantage. Plus, even if your memory is short, you should recall the double overtime Music City Bowl from 2010 between the schools. If they can re-create that just once, it would make the rivalry worth it.

I'd like to see Tennessee play

NCSU
Virginia Tech
Virginia
Georgia Tech

These would be a great addition to the football schedule every year.

I want Ohio State. We could launch ourselves in the rankings every year just by beating them, since they play no one but still remain a consistent Top 5 team.

A series against Louisville would be fun to watch, and geographically UT and UL aren't that far apart, so fans wouldn't have to travel too far.

Of course there's many other teams I'd like to see us play as well.
Washington, Wazzu, BC, Miami, USC......

Snarl!!!!!!!!!!!! Not at you chatt-townVOL. Iagree for two reasons. Media kisses their rear orifice yearly even in years when they deserve t least of all. Plus a chance to kick Urban's babymaker bags is enough motivation for me to agree. But if that can't happen, my choices would be in the order given:

Texas
USCw

I want the days back when even Spurrier admitted the UT wasn't scared of anybody.

After last season I don't want to see Oregon on the schedule any time soon:yikes:

Agreed...My girlfriend and her family are from Ohio, her younger sister is actually attending OSU now...I was excited about having them on the schedule until they jumped ship on UT.

I do not see what could make a better rivalry then proving who the REAL UT is for that year.. (in other words texas)

Could have a "THE REAL UT" trophy that whoever wins gets to keep for the year..

I think it would help our national brand.. plus would really open up some doors in recruiting in texas.

I want battles that would benefit recruiting. Us playing Louisville seems pointless, Kentucky would not help much since their talent is lacking to say the least. I think we would have to go with Virginia Tech or UNC just to have that constant door into the recruiting their states. CBJ recruits Ohio a lot, but I do not know if at this point playing OSU would be beneficial to us. I think in 2016 that may be a different story.

I would like to see us play Texas every year. I always refer to them as North Mexico University to my Texas friends since without Tennessee they would be speaking Spanish down there.

I would want to play va tech. I live in Virginia and can't stand them. One of there fans argued they have more national championships than we do to my knowledge they have 0...
