ok....let's look at this.

USC is undefeated and has 2 Real Games left (ND, UCLA)

Texas is undefeated and has 2 Real Games left ( A&M, Conf. Champ)

Virginia Tech is Und.....you get the Idea. VT has Miami and a Conf. Champ game too, by the way.

Penn State...Probably won't, but let's Hope.

and UGA can Win out.

That gives us FIVE (one, two, three, Four, FIVE) UNdefeated Big-Time Conf. Champs with a claim for the title. That will create a NIGHTMARE For the BCS, and we might have the first real claim of a Plus-one or two game system. I'm for giving only the unbeatens a shot (or the one-loss teams if that's the case).

How is this any different than last year, or the year before that for that matter? I would love to see the bcs die a quick death, but it won't happen.

My point is that they can justify screwing one team (Auburn 04). However, force them to screw THREE teams and there's a few more people angry.

I get your point, but I don't think it will change anything. Somebody gets screwed nearly every year, and it hasn't changed anything yet.

And by the way, I still think there was something fishy about that call in the Texas-Kansas game last year...

The point of the BCS was if there were 3 or 4 teams unbeaten or 1 loss, it could sort out the best two. So it actually is doing what it was supposed to.

Is it though? Sorting out the best two teams when there are three or more with equal records is a purely subjective process, and it will always bring controversy. The only way to determine for certain which two teams belong in a championship game is to decide it on the field in a playoff format of some kind. Just my subjective opinion.

You are right, but I was just saying that there really isn't anything wrong with the BCS because it is working how it's supposed to, it's just that the BCS is the wrong system.

I still don't support playoffs, just maybe 1 game after the bowls and only if neccessary.

Actually, the more I think about it.....

I'm really only in favor of extra games if there are more than one UNBEATEN teams at the end of the year. one loss teams maybe....but you've gotta get All but one of your unbeatens out of the way if you're gonna have a true NC.
