Never fit in with Howland, was ripped by the coach for taking 3 pointers. Any chance he could transfer to Tennessee? Anyone know the rules about reaching out to players who have left a program and are looking for a change?

Given distance it seems like a long shot at best but boy would it be nice!

I don't know for sure but I would think the same transfer rules still apply.

According to articles I've seen, his behavior was characterized as detrimental to the team and he brought negative energy to the locker room. Even though UCLA made it seem like he was a focal point in their system, things aren't always going to go your way in an offense. Thus, mental toughness is something you need in order to be successful in college athletics. Not saying he doesn't have capabilities of it, but it seems like his own frustration led to the undue tension between he and Howland. I don't think our best interests are found in a ME first type of player.

But, ESPN said that "a possible destination could be San Diego State. Gordon would likely fall to a Mountain West destination unless a WCC school is willing to take a gamble on him"

Pac-10 is out of the question, he doesn't want to burn two years of eligibility.

He isn't a part of the team anymore, so I don't see any issues. His family said their phone had been ringing off the hook.

Can someone explain the transfer rules? I know why he would not be released by howland to Pac 10 but why would he have to sit out longer if he transferred to an SEC school than a WCC school?
