Drinkwitz finally humbled

"All I'm gonna say is I called it last year on the radio and got beat up for it."

Humble? Don't make me laugh. Not a chance. That interview just sounds like typical Eli Drinkwitz.

I don't even care much about what he said, but I will enjoy seeing Tennessee shove another 70 points down his throat this year. The NCAA can hide the body, Eli, but that chalk line's gonna be there all the same.

Haha, he's a doofus.

Millions of people know that one team vacating wins does nothing (literally, nothing) to change the records of opposing teams and their coaches. And if millions of us who AREN'T paid to understand the rules of the college sport know that anyway, how can one of the head coaches of one of the biggest 65 programs in the game not know it?

That'd be like millions of Americans knowing what an envelopment is, but some Marine Corps general publicly saying he doesn't know how it works.

Goofball.

Listen, goofball, your record is exactly the same today as it was before the NCAA gave us its ruling. You still lost those games to us. We just can't count them as wins.

That's how it works. Heh.

Go Vols!

Oh, he knows, he just didn't want to publicly say his record wouldn't be improving🤣

With news of the following, two Mizzou undergraduate were seen trying to tear down the goal posts last week when they heard that they now beat us 3 years ago.

Drinkwitz, however, was right about the vacated wins. The NCAA announced last week that Tennessee has to vacate their 11 wins from 2019 and 2020, which means the Vols' 35-12 blowout win against Mizzou in 2020 is no longer listed as a win

I am glad the fine people at mizzou hired an established coach like Drinkwitz and gave him an extension as well. Great football minds in Columbia right now.

When they came into the SEC they were pretty close to being at their all time peak - had played for Big 12 Championships just a few seasons before and got into the SECCG their second or third year but they dropped back down into the bottom half of the league. I’m not sure Eli will be there much longer - he can’t seem to keep the top players instate.

“Drink” was humbled when he was born.
If he wasn’t humbled then, he got totally bent over on the invisible man play. Not only humbled, but fully neutered. This was his one and only attempt at redemption, and it fell flat. Just imagine what it’s like to be Eli Drinkwitz and having this, and only this, as your saving grace.
