I know a lot of you remember the 1st round exit of the vols against Okie St in ncaas a few years ago. That Okie St team had a team similar the current vols. That team put the ball in their point guards hands and brought the bigs to the baseline the wings to the corner and let him go one on one in the final minutes. He was a good free throw shooter and he would always seem to close out games for them. They also had a guy on the wing who could hit the three. I think Goins can be that guy and especially if he is being guarded by Walker.

When things get especially ugly, I've wondered why we don't go to 1-4 sets with Hopson out top.

Hopson has a very nice dribble drive. Get it in his hands and clear the lane for him. Hes a very consistent FT shot as well.

Hopson is not a ball handler. We he gets rushed by defenders he seems stumble and fumble the ball away like last night. All they have to do is clear the lane and let Goins back his guy down and then dish when the defense comes to him or finish if not and he has good ft %.

He does except when he dribbles off he foot twice a game. With all the talent he has, you would think he would have dribbling down pat by now.
