Here is something I have noticed so far this season:

When we score, it is almost always a touch down. When we get into the redzone, barring a turnover, the TD/FG ratio is very high. Very rarely are we stopped and forced to kick a FG on a drive that should have been a TD.

Offensive struggles seem to be rooted in the inability to get into a rhythm. When we actually find ourselves in a groove, the O performs very well, and the play calling/execution is smooth. That was what finally clicked in the 2nd half against the dawgs.

Hopefully coach jake and a bye week has them ready to find that groove from the get go.

Unfortunately, part of being a UT fan, at this point in time, is just not knowing what to expect from the team on game day.

I like the new O package using motion with Pig. I haven't watched SC enough to see how well they run sideline to sideline. I know that pig on the sweeps were killing UGA. I dont expect to run it to clowneys side much.

Something I've noticed: just about every TD drive we have (I'd guess about 75-90% of them) have involved a play where we get a chunk of yardage. We seem to go more up-tempo after the big play it catch the D reeling and push further ahead.

We were definitely in a great groove second half of UGA game. It was a beauty to watch. Some of the play calls were just perfectly called and executed.

If we can replicate that against USCe we will win Saturday, I'm actually mostly worried about davis running the ball on the edges....big test for our defense imo.

I'd like to know our total number of possessions vs number of times we scored on possessions, as well as number of 3 & outs vs number of total possessions.

I'm glad to say this offense has drastically improved since week 1 but gah what a rough start.

It definitely has seemed that our offenses failings have been in our inability to sustain long drives. Being able to run effectively is a huge benefit in the red zone and our inability to throw the deep ball consistently is less of a problem so it does play to our strengths.

Hopefully SC commits some turnovers and we have some big ST plays that give us short fields to work with this weekend.
