When the Philly girl claimed that a man etched a "B" in her face after seeing a McCain bumper sticker on her car during a robbery, Drudge had it front and center, headlines in Red.

When it turns out its a hoax, Drudge runs a story about it, but its down about 2-3 stories and just a little tag, not in red, and you even have to basically already know the news to even understand it.

Wonder if Boortz will apologize to Obama and all the insinuations he made yesterday about black criminals supporting Obama?

Doubt it.

I'm sure every Black criminal in America is supporting McCain. :whistling:

MSNBC probably has a poll that supports this contention.

The story was at the top of Drudge when it broke. Then like every other story on Drudge, it moved down the page as other stories occurred.

I just hope that this slanted journalism doesn't somehow push LG off the fence and make him vote Obama.

Don't try to dismiss legitimate criticism of journalistic hacks like Drudge by saying I just want attention. The reason I get so energized by this kind of crap is that it is infuriatingly insulting to those of us thinking adults in this country that millions are getting drawn in by the nonsense.

But that's just it . . . This is not a legitimate criticism. 24 hours after the story broke, it is still front and center on Drudge. It's not the headline, but it's got a large attention grabbing picture almost at the top of the page (with the woman in a Vols sweatshirt no less). Drudge is sometimes sensationalistic with his headlines, but for the most part he's just linking stories.

. . . and as far as the Boortz thing, where was your outrage 3 weeks ago when Begala, Carville and Gergen said basically the same thing on CNN?

Why? You believe black criminals do not support Obama?

I don't think that criminals give a crap about politics. And I certaily don't think that they, or Obama, consider them to be his constituency, which is what Boortz and others have been trying to imply, i.e. that a vote for Obama is a vote in favor of street thuggery.

What were thoughts on Olbermann running with the newspaper article claiming that someone at Palin's rally in Scranton yelled "kill him" about Obama?

Olbermann went on an angry tirade, demanding that Palin issue an apology for the comment...

The Secret Service was there, they state that the article was "unfounded" and no one other than the original reporter has admitted to hearing "kill him"...yet, no apology from Olbermann...

Do you ever read the NYTimes? They do the same thing. Hacks.

I listened to the audio and thought I heard it, too.

For the sake of discussion, let's say the comment was made.

Should Palin have to issue an apology for it?

Of course not. I'd like to see her have a moment like McCain did when he corrected that scared old lady who thought that Obama was "an A-rab." That would be the responsible thing to do. But no, its not for her to apologize for someone else's comment.

Now, had she repeated it in big red capitals and made it her headline, and then found out it was a hoax 48 hours later, it would be nice if she pointed that out in the same manner.

Marc Rich cares about who's elected. Many in the Weather underground cared.

Then why do you care if Boortz makes insinuations regarding black criminals.

You just insulted thinkers and adults by claiming to be one of them.

You must have been on a lunch break all morning on Friday then. It was the headline with giant read letters "SHE MADE IT UP".

Of course, GA already pointed this out, and you chose to ignore it. Your hatred for Drudge is skewing your "facts".
