Such a great story-line in your game Saturday. Two big-men that will inevitably get matched up at some point during the game. Both five star freshman. Both re-classified from the 2012 class to come to school early. Both are pretty raw.

Drummond- 6'11" 275, physically just a freak. One of the best offensive rebounders in the nation, as well as one of the best shot blockers and most efficient scorers around the rim.

Stokes- 6'8' 270, offensive fundamentals of an upperclassman already. Not a good sample size of stats for Stokes yet, but he may be the most consistent offensive weapon for the Vols by March. Still a question of how he'll pan out this season on the defensive end, a lot to learn in a short period of time. The Drummond/Oriahki tandem is arguably the toughest he'll face all season, including UK.

Let the big dogs eat!!!

Drummond can jump to he just plays flat out above everybody else. He is going to be a stud in the NBA very soon I think. I think maymon draws Drummond and ccm will tell him to posh him all over the court, try to get him out of the flow. Maybe im wrong, well find out soon enough.

I don't know about pushing him all over the floor. Drummond clocks in at 275. I expect Maymon will draw him, but try to get him drawn out on the perimeter and use that first step to get Drummond in foul trouble.

Hall and Stokes will most likely see more of Oriakhi than Drummond. Stokes can hold his own against both, we'll see is they roll over Hall or not.

As a freshman he is somewhat soft, I've seen him get pushed a bit. You can also get into his head and frustrate him somewhat. As you said make him try to guard maymon on the perimeter drive and keeping him out of the post will help stokes as well. Also, like they did with young from Florida push him further out, make him catch the entry pass further out than he wants to.

Maymon will be the smallest, most physical guy he faces all year. No doubt I think Maymon can handle his own.

I'm prepared to take what's coming my way...

But I don't agree with that, at all right now. Before the end of the season I think so. A couple times in the Georgia game he got clumsy with the ball and lost it. I know it was only his second game, but I'd still feel better with the ball in Golden or Maymon's hands as of right now.

I'm not gonna be the one to blast you I applaud you for speaking the truth. I think this is a result of him not playing competitive basketball in 6 months your not used to people clogging the lane and slapping at the ball. It will get fixed I'm no worked but it's true both against uk and uga he had the ball smacked out 2 different times.

Agree 100%. I'm hoping because he's played two games now that they've pointed that out in the tapes that he really needs to protect the ball better.

I feel like if nothing else this 1/2 year will help him see where he can improve and can make him that much better for next year.

Bottom line Golden, Tatum & McBee have got to light it up from outside and defend like there life depended on it. UT can win this if they can do that.
