It's been a while since both of these rivals have both been ranked going into this last game of the season (1986).

If Stanford upsets UCLA, this game decides who will in the PAC-12 South and play Oregon in the conference championship game.

Not that the bragging rights alone wouldn't be enough for these guys.

It's currently 21-14 Arizona with 3:10 left in the 2nd quarter.

28-21 Wildcats with 9:18 left in the 3rd quarter.

And if UCLA doesn't score on Stanford soon, this game is about to become a whole lot more important for these two teams

42-28 Wildcats with 6 minutes left in the game

Looks like the Wildcats are getting a second game against Oregon.

Hey Michigan, how did firing Rodriguez so you could get your "Michigan Man" in place work out for you?

Arizona gets its first shot at a PAC championship since...93? Is that right?

Yep, a shared title with UCLA and USC.

Arizona has never played in the Rose Bowl and they are the only original member of the Pac 12 (from the Pac 8 days) to never play in it.

Thanks. Wikipedia was being a mess on my phone.

I thought they weren't one of the original PAC-8 members though. Didn't they and Arizona State leave the WAC to join the conference, which turned it into the Pac-10?

I'm not sure Arizona's actually ever won an outright conference title in football.

No, wait, I think I found one:

This will be Arizona's first chance at an outright conference title since 1941. Back when the school was still in the "Border Intercollegiate Athletic Association."

Yep, should have said the only team from the Pac-10 days not make the Rose Bowl.
