After that game against Seton Hall Duke looks like they could be a national champion this year.

The return of J.J. Redick and Sheldon Williams along with another great freshman class is this another awesome year for coach K???????????????????????? :ill_h4h:

It is way too early. If and that is a big if.. Randolph Morris makes it back UK has about two guards that could defend Reddick (Rajon Rondo and Rammel Bradley).

Anyone but Duke or UNC and I'll call it a good year. The latter won't win it, so that increases the chances of a good year.

Last year's NCAA tournament pick 'ems were very fun. Can't wait for them again.

Duke, Texas and Villanova all look like heavyweights.

Wait until Duke is halfway through the ACC play and see where they stand, then we can make a better prediction.
Of course, one never knows what sleeper will awake during tourney time. There could be a third or fourth place team in the ACC that may surprise people. Same goes for the NCAA tourney-a team ranked as low as 8th could win it all.

I don't think it will be like last year, where half of the ACC was good enough to win any other conference in the country.

I know its early to say duke all the way, but whose going to get in their way. MEMPHIS has a shot did anybody else see that killing of the Crimson Tide.

Dook basketball and F$U football are the two I hate the most. Dook will be very good this yr though...amazing how Coach K gets his players to stay 4 yrs...hmmm..makes ya wonder!

This could be like the 99 yr though..heavily favored to win it all and come up short in the championship game!

I've watched alot of hoops this yr so far and UCONN is the best team I've seen play. Dook will have problems with athletic teams(see Memphis).

I thought we were gonna lose a lot of inside presence with Turiaf gone but I don't think it's too bad.

He might just stick around. The University has been absolutely pouring cash into the athletics program the last couple of years.

Yeah...the only problem is they have to play a tough early season schedule since the conference is pretty soft for them..its like they have to turn it on..turn it off..then turn it back on in March...also you know a bigtime program will be looking soon...Lute Olsen is getting up there..it would be hard to turn that down.

True. They still have Oklahoma State and Memphis looming on the schedule, though. The game against Tiger High is right in the middle of the season, could be a good one to keep the team on their toes.

Not to mention the WCC usually fields at least one other decent team behind Gonzaga... I remember they got a good game against Saint Mary's last year in the WCC final.

I think by the end of the season Memphis is gonna have just as good of a shot as anybody, great young players, great depth, great coaching, by the end of the season there gonna be a force

what happend to that one team from last year PACIFIC they were pretty good there for a while

They're alright but their conference is super-weak. U of the P is not doing that great right now anyhow, with losses to Santa Clara and Oregon.
